Chuck, great concept! the most expression I’ve seen yet.
If you can build it they will come!
Great work.
Beast of Burden - Character or contraption - Chuck
I like your drawing. It reminds me of some of the ‘Goofy’ films that disney put out in the '50s where he goes camping and has a ton of stuff on the top of his convertable.
Very cool concept. I also LOL when I saw the drawing.
Terry Pratchet springs to mind, I don’t know why! Very good. If you model half as good as you draw we’re in for a nice piece.
Well, here’s a couple of wireframes. Huh- I didn’t realize just how much this thing looked like a cow until now. It’s alright. With a little tweaking down the road I can mold him into something a little bit more of what I had in mind. Hopefully I can get some more progress up by this afternoon.

Thanks for all the kind comments.
I wish I had more than an hour a night to work on this. Maybe this weekend I can have all of the base modeling done. (Gad, I feel like I’m talking to myself) After I finish the basic wireframe, I can start adding some character and personality to him.
This is a little more difficult than I thought it would be
The modeling looks great. I think it’s really captured the feel of the concept drawing. Yeah, it does look a bit like a cow, but that’s not nescesarilly a bad thing.
Nice work so far.
hey, that’s looking killer, and exactly like the concept. diggin’ it. ![]()
Only crit I could think of right now is some areas are a little meta-square still, like the feet…but that’s all little tweaking. Nice and clean all around. Keep makin’ with the funny.
You’re right, there is a lot of “meta” or slightly square edges all over this thing. It needs a lot of reconstruction in certain areas, like the nose and that rear foot. Hopefully I can have that taken care of this weekend.
Thank God I don’t have to texture it… I wouldn’t know where to start.
I really like your style !pretty cute~A little advice that maybe you can surface’s edge more smooth!Great eork anyway~:applause:
Check out my challenge
Haven’t got around to smoothing out edges yet as I’d just like to get thru building the basic objects first. Plus, it’s hard to sit at a computer when it’s 90 degrees outside. (Flyfishing or LightWave, Hmmmmmmm…)
Right now I’m concentrating on trying to “add weight” to the objects. While it really isn’t that difficult, it’s time consuming. I think the true effect will come across when I start to add the details and wrinkles in the bags.
Thanks for looking at my post!
