I forgot a pic:)
Beast of Burden - Character - Mandrake
sorry that I didn’t read through all the posts, just glanced over most, but didn’t really notice a comment about the BoB’s pose being unbalanced, I mean in reality,he is so heavy in the buuer torso, there is no way he wouldn’t fall flat on his nose in that poisition, his arms shouldn’t be going straight down but rather at an agle forward so as to support the massive weight on the front
Otherwisde amazing detail great job so far
Really impressive, congratulations, Mandrake. I wonder how you got to model those veins and details. Could you post a wireframe without the subdividing? Big size, pleeeease. I’m trying to learn.
Thanks!
Holy crap man… thats some REALLY impressive work.
Where did you go for education? Where do you work?
(I’m a high school senior… i need to know! :surprised )
I agree with Kai, this guys is way too heavy at the front…the rider would tip the balance…maybe if he had a tail he could balance out…but certainly the rms a little more forward if possible…otherwise I love this…yes…I’m drooling!
Your work is joust AMAZING :bounce:
And the muscle structure rulez :buttrock:
For me number one for that challenge.
:airguitar :airguitar :airguitar
you Roxx
d’you use SubD Simulation (CPS) or native SubD of Maya Unlimited?
bye
Oh, one other thing that is bugging me. This beast is good…oh yes…the best most defined mesh imaginable…but…after many years myself going to the gym owned by a world top 10 body builder…I know that the only way to look like that is to drink nothing but celery juice for 4 weeks, whilst working out with weights which weigh less than feathers cos you haven’t the strength to lift your finger…the rest of the time pro bodybuilders look a little fat around the middle and there is a layer of fat covering the muscles…they are still defined but no so much as we would see at a competition…
So…my only problem with this beast is its lack of any fat tissue…my 3 cents…
Otherwsie a great job…
holly shit,…what the…damn man,i’m blasted
stunnig-o-amazingification. :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
Kaiskai - The beast wil be pulling a… well … something, I heaven’t started yet to work on it and dont know if I had a time, thats why it is leaning foward, HellRender is right about that…
ghZaaaRK- Cps until I got the edges flow nicely, then turn to subdivision.
neilyb - Is’s intentionaly. I know very well what you’re talking
about, I’ve been into BB some time ago and when I started I
told my workmates that I want him to be defined as Rich Gaspari
at 1988 Mr Olimpia

Thank you all for your great comments:beer:
Here are my crits:
- It looks too realistic.
- You’ve followed the guidlines to a tee.
- It makes me feel small as a modeller.
- It seems inpenetrabley perfect.
Well, that’s fair enough…although I would have guessed at Dorian Yates (mainly cos it’s BIG!)…and best of luck…not that you need it!
:applause: :bounce:
