Beast of Burden - Character - Kirt
I love the comic entries coming in! Nice creativity. Oh and I love your recent sketch on the “new scribble” thread. Cute.
:surprised
:applause: That is so great!Don’t have something to crit.I hope i’ll see some coloring soon.
I’m thinking of enterinf with a 2d pic also…but i’dont know if i can.
Captain! Thar be mid-tones! ARRRRRR! (translation - I really need to learn to paint - this looks very washed out to me)
Hey Kirt. Looks great. I know you’re not done with it, but I think it could use more saturation. It’s cartoon and I think it should look more glossy and cel like.
I’m not really shooting for a cell look with this one. It probably would have made the coloring easier … but I’m trying to learn how to use my Wacom. So, I guess you could say I’m doing textued 'toons.
Here’s what I mean …
This fat lady’s leg (below) is white, pasty, sun burned, freckly, stubbly (haven’t added the stubble yet) with vericose veins. Yuck … really gross stuff. And I don’t think I could do all that with a cell shade.
I suppose I’m just a detail freak?
On the dress I was thinking a very obnoxious looking floral print from Hawaii (I think it’s called a mu mu) or a design that looks like it’s made from bed sheets or curtains.
You know … shopping for clothes is tough at this size. There’s Tents 'R Us or the Home Squatter’s Network.
Bigger eyes for the chihuahua …
I’ve been baby sitting my brothers rug rat … and I realized that small dogs with big eyes have very little whites showing. So, I changed the dog’s peepers. I think he looks like he’s straining more.
