Beast of Burden - character- Huh?

#6

It took me a whole day to model the hands, many crashes, and still they look a bit silly. well first add some detail on the rest of the body.

so gogogo!:bounce:

#7

I think the upper arms need to be bigger, with more muscle. I would like to see this get finished, because it looks good right now.

#8

yeah, you’re right about the arms I wasn’t quite ready with them.

#9

like I thought.
I’m not gonna make it.

There’s still yoo much too learn…
Here’s where it’s at now.

Next: a head?

#10

That’s a very smooth and clean mesh you have on the model. Nice work so far.

#11

really nice model, the idea is very funny and original!

and better hurry up, the challenge ends in 4 days

#12

I don’t know about hurry up.
That’s not possible in my case. thank’s for the support though.

here’s another go.:hmm:

#13

I’m getting a head.

Took me a while though, especially since I tried three kind of noses.
And after all two holes did it best actually.

#14

and bob is trieing his new head, I think it’s not good yet but hey, time is running out…

#15

SMOOTH! Really nice style!Kmon!Keep it up!:bounce:

#16

Nice character!

#17

thank’s for the support!

Not getting too much input here so I’m very pleazed with your compliments!
specially from you oz. your bob rocks… must be a winner.
anyway here’s a sideview for better wrinkleview.
It’s the wrinkleness that I like most in my bob.

Looking a bit like: hey it’s uncle harry in a dinosaursuit!

#18

bob’s trying out his new weels…
It’s hip to be square!:annoyed:

#19

Hee hee! Square wheels! I love it!

The beast looks very cool. Love all those jiggly bits!

#20

last one shit not ready at all.:annoyed:  :annoyed:

#21

as you can see it’s not ready at all, but since this is my second organic model, and fourth one in total eveything took so too much time. Like a nose, or the woodbumps, wich still look like plastic. took a whole day!!!

Hope I learned from it. stil have to I guess.
Thank’s to my few repliers…

#22

hey your model looks great. dont be discouraged about the time it took you to create those things, its not realy the point, they are really nice models that will only get better with time and practice. hell you should have seen my models when i first started, yours kick their butt. hahah, that would be funny to see , a thread on peoples first models they made. keep it up:)

#23

me a veteran? hehehe…

he tubby. mayby you’re right, I just wish I could have done something usefull today, like change the bob’s expression, giving him teeth etc…
or go outside… and see how the world looks. Instead I spend the whole day on a woodbumpmap!

that’s all. now a beer!

#24

just one more from the side…

#25

and oh yeah, some advise on creating maps would be helpfull…
like the rope… had to create three surfaces cause i couldn’t find a way to uv it nicely at once. still looks weird i know, but with uv’s it seemed impossible?
