This is my first challenge entry…
Here’s my ‘Beast of Burden’:
It’s an ‘air-horse’. These poor creatures can only fly a couple of feet off the ground. They’ve got tiny feet…too small to support their weight.
The leather straps can be connected to different rings, depending on the weight of the load.

Been watching the Cell lately?
How are you intending to colour it (or are you?).
The only thing I’d say is that you need to make sure the stretch on the skin is proportional to the weight of the load attached to it.
Given the hideousness of the creature’s situation, I’d probably try to exaggerate the stain in his face more.

My only critique (which doesn’t apply to your illustration much), is that you really didn’t show us your progress. Your WIP went from finished concept to finished color. Can we see some of your WIP sketches and WIP colors?

Here’s a collection of my wip images…I don’t really work in stages, I just sit down and stop until it’s finished… I did the color image today during working hours…
