Bro…that is some of the best muscle definition and sculpting I’ve seen. Fantastic work so far. You keep up that level of work and you’ll hav one seroiusly amazing piece on your hands.
Beast of Burden - Character - h4d35
That’s a tough break about your job h4d35… but with the skills your showing here, you should get back on your feet in no time!![]()
I like the crack in the side of the block. Nice extra touch (looks like the mesh got a bit warped there though).
yep, good modeling on the muscles so far! would be cool if you added veins to them in the end to.
I’m looking forward to see how the head will look. :bounce:
Okey!
That is some fast answers
cool!
Thanks!
Im at your service

My mesh is a mess… Was only meant to be a sketch from the beginning so i didnt really put a lot if effort in making it good. Gonna hate myself for that later on…
Who said “mesh is only one letter away from mess”?
Love that quote
Thanks again
/Hannes
(cool to see swedish ppl here fellah!
Yikes! You’re going to have lots of fun tweaking that!
I know it’s the age old question and doesn’t matter too much, but what 3d software do you use? Just curious.
Im using Max 4
I can tell you that the mesh really looks worse than it is
the reason it looks the way it does is that i decided to Anti-relax it a bit (automatically) to get the muscles to look more bulgy… it worked quite well, with the drawback that the mesh look less organised and more messy
The techniques I use are standard Poly-meshsmooth
I use meshtools and cs-polytools exclusively. Damn good

*** EDIT

I like this render better… hides the mistakes more
Im in desperate need of two things:
- a job
- a girlfriend
If you are in a position to give me either of those please contact me immediately!
well its is damn good, best modeling of the beast itself ive seen so far, but how can it see what to shoot without a head, doyee. rock on :xtreme:
I like your muscle.you did great so far~do you have any reference image?
go on!I want to see it’s head next time!nice job~
I’ve got a couple suggestions pertaining to the blaster cannon / engine things you’ve got on the sides of the beast. First I’d add some sort of connecting rod between the guns to keep them from swining in and hitting the beast’s legs. Also I’d add in a strap device across the front of the beast to catch the recoil from the guns.
damn man those muscles are lookin goood, the cannons look a little bulky to sit on the side of the beast, maby a rig that holds them up higher. i ll keep an eye on your thread,
sorry about your jobb.
my bob
Very very nice muscle structure bud
I really dig where this is going, love the massiveness of thes beast… also ZrO-1
made some very valid points, I’ll be keeping an eye on this one…
Like everyone else said those muscles are great! Are you going to add a “pilot seat” or will the beast roam free?
Humm… ill try to get a head done by next post…
tonite is Partynight so i guess it wont be that soon.
changing in the strapping parts are already underway. as it is now they would fall over in the front… i can see that now
I havnt used any references but those subconciously used by my mind.
I havnt drawn anything of this either… i began with a vision of what i thought the leg should look like… then i started modelling…
im not all that good with pen and paper…
thanks for the comments folks. Its really helps me to keep my creative spirit up!
well rock on ppl!
/Hannes
