Beast of burden - character - derwolpertinger

#123

yeah pit, all textures are only made with the sla shaders.

#124

i did a quick sketch of how the character on the BoB might look like. it is a kind of alligator but it can also breath under water. i don’t know if ishould model it. do you think it’s good for the whole scene?
ahh and btw. i’ll also maybe add some clothes or armor to the char

#125

Hey D, Nice drawing for the secondary character. I think it would be cool to see a couple of them in the town…maybe one or two in the jail and one or two in the control towers but that’s pro’lly about all. I wouldn’t bother adding in lots of detail to this new character because he would be so small in the scene…unless of course you plan on also doing a few close-up shots of the village. I guess just keep in mind the size that the gator-man will be in your final piece and model accordingly.

Just my 2 cents

#126

so i’ve started on the character-but decided to make a totally different one. here’s the start-still a lot to do. btw. the head is going to be a sort of dino style head.
here we go:) :

#127

and another one:

#128

A good start. Very good. Probably too early for any constructive critisism at this stage, so I’ll just say it’s going very well!

I love the sketch. I can see how the model is starting to match.

#129

wanna keep you guys up to date!

#130

and a side view:

#131

That is one coooool model…right down to the details of the houses…dude, you rock!

This month is gonna be a hard one…(the contest that is!)

#132

damn it is hard for me cause it’s the first time i’m modelling muscular structure. but it works :D. so here’s a musculary update. things to do are the hands and the head. and some accessories and a fair bit of clothes for sure.

#133

and the front:

#134

I totally understand what you are saying Derwolpertinger. I had the same problem with my cowboy. However you are doing an excelent job with your dino-man. I think it looks really awesome, and the muscles look pretty cool like they are. I like that they don’t look entirely human. I think it’s great.
Nice work so far bro!

#135

ahhh…my eyelids are fallin’ down…too tired…
so here’s the last update for today…ehhh…wait…last update for tonight…naahh…actually it can be called the last update for this morning:surprised --gotta sleep now to have the power to model the head tomorrow…good night…|btw. it is 06:09 am here|

#136

man, it was worth staying up all night for:thumbsup:
Great looking model

#137

man this one has the right athmosphere  it’s a very good new way to show the bavarian fabulous creature ( der wolpertinger ) … or was the name choosen just by accident ?? anyway great picture

#138

Your design is very original.

i’m impatient to see the finished scenes

#139

worked already a lot on the head but still a lot to do on it! so here’s an update. i’ll take a break for a day or two now to relax a bit.
so next updates are probably on sunday morning .

#140

ach ja cabal-meine namenswahl war kein versehen sondern absicht.

#141

Man that is a MONSTROUS effort you’re putting into this!
Love the original ideas, keep it up!

Hope you finish in time…

#142

hey, got the head finished!:bounce: now i’ll add a few clothes to this guy. yeah just a few cause otherwise modelling the muscles would have been really dumb! and he will also be wearing some rings and chains around his neck and arms, legs…then i’ll rig him and when i got enough time left paint a bumpmap for some wrinkles. so here we go:
