I have taken a new approach at this challenge, as you see. My new model is somewhat original (for what is done with it so far). I tried to get away from the repetitive look that everyone else is doing. Hope you enjoy it so far.

It’s looking good! Cool concept.
I would recomend making the teeth separate objects or model creases to show where they begin.

my BOB is not complete, if thats what some of you may be thinking, THe object he is pulling is not the final ‘contraption’ either. it will be much more detailed and so will the Beast. I am trying to get the basic shapes of the model complete so i can add detail. thanks for all the comments…

LOL ! Well, I don’t know what’s going on here but the model shown at that link ( http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13833&highlight=sattelite ) is clearly NOT THE SAME model as appears in this thread. And the model shown here is so simple that it would be easier to create it from scratch than to reduce the one shown in the sattelite thread!
Oh, I admit, the similarities are unmistakable, but so are the differences: The tentacles have fewer bends and do not bend as sharply; and the place where the tentacles join the sphere are totally different.
I would also be interested to know why Array sent the model to someone who didn’t even post in his thread. :surprised

Ok, this is whats up…
I have seen the satellite model before, and helped him fix some problems with it. i have been building the contraption roughly and its not even close to being done. The metal tentacle things on the back are going to be seaweed or some organic material. The contraption he is pulling is not official yet and when finished will look 99% different than it does now. Sorry for all the problems and miss understanding… This is not a stolen model… and I have built everything in this BOB of mine from scratch (a single cube primitive or sphere)
and i am sure you all understand how models start out looking very rough to sculpt out the basic shape…
