#1

im in this one for sure
how do you guys come up with great ideas month after month??
craziness!

ill probably model an alien creature, something large and cumbersome, yet fierce when angered.

nothing is set in concrete yet though.
ill keep you guys and girls updated!

good luck to everyone in this one! its gonna be insane

ps
i am going to finish this one, i have school holidays next two weeks so i have plenty of time

school always got in the way of 3d ie forest…
i only had a chance to model my fat dudes head becoz im ill! (tonsilitis!:annoyed: )

#2

fat head aint finished yet mind you!

#3

Just a reminder : 5) can’t be humanoid

I’m interested in where the model is going. For some reason I see a version of the Troll from Harry Potter in your model, and that makes me curious.

#4

hehe i know no humanoids :stuck_out_tongue:
just wanted to post something so my thread has some life!

what i have in mind will be a creature that can be gentle like an angry tiger but when pissed off can become FEIRCE AND SCARY like a puppy.

i cant wait to get some time haha

#5

i did a little concept
dont know if ill use it yet
i need to find some inspiration

its a 40 ft puppy
lol
it turns into a fierce and spikey puppy when angered! lol or not??

deary me
well ill post a bettter concept tonite or tomorrow i need to do some serious thinking on the topic

#6

I already think it would be scary it a 40 ft puppy wanted to lick me in the face. But what will he be caryng? his food just bought atthe local supermarket or maybe he is a atraction for little kids who ride his back.
I think a puppy will be fun. :wavey:

#7

puppy it is!
i was thinking along the lines of the one in toy story 2

#8

quick concept model

did anyone realise how fantastic paintbrush’s compression is??

#9

i guess its not that great

#10

LOL I love the huge scale. That puppy is going to be HUGE!!! hehehe awesome.

#11

sorry it took me so long to get started

heres a (really) early progress render

#14

#15

derwolpertinger: u talking about the model or the photo??
but thanks anyways!:stuck_out_tongue:

as for the story
its in my head but its 1 am here and i didn’t goto bed last night so let me sleep and ill shock the world with it in the morning, well further on in the morning

#16

super fuzzy render!
just playing around a little::bounce:

#17

finished basic body shape
need to bulk up hind legs a bit

and define everything much more
front legs i believe are coming along nicely
ill post smoothed version later on

#18

that puppy is totally buff!! hehe:eek: what do you expect from a dog that toils all day??
tell me what you folks think of bob the dog here

need to fix up tail a little bit, add more definition to muscles, some veins, oh yeh and a head hehe:p

waiting impatiently to hear your words of wisdom people!!!

bob the cgtalk dog wants to know what you think of him!

oh and story:
the puppy race was enslaved by members of an evil group of creatures to do their bidding! oh no! haha im too tired and that shot of jim beam probably didn’t help my sanity!

#19

hahahaha Mr. Mark that’s awesome. THat puppy is coming along great. All the proportions are perfect puppy proportions. I think this one will work well because when you first see it you’ll be like “oh its a puppy” they as you look harder you’ll be like “oh, dam, its a huge puppy”

Great stuff so far.

hey mrmark,
looking great! is this guy gonna have some fur in the final? cause if so…you probably won’t need veins…showing…but if he is furless…veins would be cool…my only comment so far is that the front leg should join the body at his shoulder more and not so much at his chest/belly…but proprtions are right on…I really love the dramatic angle you chose on the last page…can’t wait for more!
