Beast of Burden - Character/contraption - Jacob
2D guys are the best! We are so much more creative…a flying beast…an underwater one…awesome…
Alright guys…i’ll be doing the 2D and the 3D this time. But the 2D is more important…so I’ll finish it first. I’ll build off that. I’ll be updating all my 2D. My 3D will just be a big popo at the end…
heres the first concept…
…life…the most important cargo of all…
have fun guys!!!
I like what I’ve seen so far. I could see the bug being a bit bigger, though…he’s carrying a rider and hauling a huge caravan/cart. I like the detail you’ve got going on his face so far…looking forward to the update:thumbsup:
Ok. Hmmm. i said Tommy had the most original. I may be wrong… I don’t know what to say. Would that be a comfortable ride? that guy must be getting antennae up his ass! Looks good.![]()
Yup…I think it’s time to go back to cartoons…f-this realistic stuff yo!
I’ll be posting soon…something much better…
Here it is. The first post of my ‘actual’ challenge piece. that last one was a piece of crap. I wish I could take it off…anyway…planning on finishing this one all the way…thanks for the input guys…:bounce:
Kick ass! Has a great vintage feel to it. Be careful not to lose that in glitz and effects!

Hey that’s cool. I agree with puddlefish, hope you can keep the style that’s already there. I think you need to lower the wheels on the wagon. Otherwise it’ll drag on the ground.
Thanks guys…but it is actually just blue pencil seeped up in photoshop. I plan on doing full color. I have to design the background and all first. Figure out the lighting and what not. But this image will be here to seperate the newly posted color layers from the original drawing.
Where is the update? Update!
Jacob, Jacob, Jacbo you forgot it at work, didn’t you. Shame on you young Jacob shame on you.:hmm:
Yeah, I went to Collins College. We were the second class to go thru the AOS animation program and I felt as though we were used as lab rats for the curriculum.
I took advantage of what they offered (not much) and certainly didn’t slack off at all during the 18 month program. But, in the end all I really learned was how little $20K buys you at that school (I use the term loosely).
I don’t know what it’s like there now … but I would strongly recommend against anyone going there based upon my own experiences.
If anyone is considering the school, buy a new computer, a licenced version of Maya and pay for Gnomon’s training videos … you’d probably learn more and save a lot of money.
end of Collins College rant
I like your beetles … going to finish this?
Ohh…dont go there…:shame:
