C&c welcome!!!

(sorry for my English) :stuck_out_tongue:

#2

#3

Update:

Some detail here

and one more:

waiting for your comments…

#4

hi, good so see you join up. Its a good idea and you can go lots of directions in creativity with those bugs. I suggest you find lots of bug pictures and copy their geometry as close as possible. National Geographic is a favorite of mine.

#5

Awesome idea, but your legs look a bit too thin, mabye the rear legs should be bigger than the front legs and pointing backwards more. Otherwise i love the concept. Us newbies gotta stick together

#6

Hi, Thx for your Comment Guys,

I grown up the rear legs, I add a little modification on the head and the abdomen too.

Now I’m going to add some details like the cord to join the beast and the stone …

C&c welcome! :bounce:

Hey Foloking, welcome to the challenge. Sorry I haven’t commented earlier, this is the first time I saw this thread.

Your concept idea seems pretty cool and it looks like your modeling is coming right along. One thing I would suggest is to mess up the poop-ball behind the beast. I think it looks too much like a perfect sphere right now. I know you just got started with the modeling on this project, but be sure to add in lots of little details to the beast’s shell and head.

Good start so far!

Hi Zr0-1! Thx for your help, it was useful for me!
I change some vertex position in poly mode, and I have add a Noise bump on the sphere, now look the result:

#9

Now the beast look like a Cactus … Lol.
What do you think about this update? maybe to much spade on the beast?

I have 2 question: why the bump appears more with a standard render under max and not enough with a render under brazil?

And… huhuhu… Some-one know a easy method to create a rope plz?
(Excuse my ignorance, it’s for the good cause :p)

:wavey:

#10

Ok, I finally found the method to create a rope :stuck_out_tongue: … juste renderer the spline (sorry for the last Stupid question)… Anyway

It’s the rope update

#11

The poop-ball looks much better now. I like all of the spikes on the bug’s shell. One thig you should also do is add creases in where the different ‘plates’ of the shell would meet and also at the joints in the legs.
Good work so far!

Thx ZrO-1

I hope that you will like
