Cooooooool, love to model animals.
I’m in!!! I’m in!!! :bounce:
Ok so here is my Beast bief:
The Terremoth
This beast is from a planet similar to earth. It’s used as beast of burden by a litique civilization similar to Egyptian or American indians. This guys are great architect, building huge monuments and palace 10 times bigger than terrans. The Terremoth is primarly used for pulling huge blocks of stone to the building sites.
Appearance
This beast is big as 5 elephants, maybe some 25 tons weight.
Mammals, and rumiant, it’s similar to bisons or african buffalos, it have huges horns like them. A great characteristic of the Terremoth is his 8 legs and 4 eyes. So his body is longuer in proportion to a bison.
I’m sketching now, i’ll scan tomorow. Seeya!!
here is first skecht i’m putting some color on it for the next post.
I changed the name, a called it THE TERREMOTH, terremoto in spanish means earthquake.
Wow, looking great there Fedron. I didn’t think an 8 legged beast could work, but you . . … you give him style and functionality. Awesome!! Are you going to draw in the harnest and equipment as well?
Otherwise, really nice prilimenary sketch, I can’t wait to see more!!
Thamks for the comments guys:).
I’m working in some new sketches and details the terremoth, hope to post it soon. I have no scanner at home so it quite difficul, maybe i gonna draw on coreldraw.
Cheers.
Guys, i have a question, can somebody answer me?
Can we use multiple, doh, how do you say that in english, a multiple attelage? i mean 2 or more beast pulling together?
Lildragon are you there?
That’s a damn cool idea and design…when I read the description I was a little worried, but then it said bison/buffalo…that’s cooler than I ever pictured it, and much more workable than mine.
Look forward to seeing that monster in 3D…go go go ![]()
P.S. I’ve seen a couple others in here with multiples, or 2 at any rate…wouldn’t think that would be a problem…a ‘mule team’ of these things would be very cool to see.
Well, I’m not a mod, but I’ve read the rules over a couple of times. I think you can have as many beasts pulling your burden as you want. I would imagine that if they are just duplicates that are posed then only one would be judged since the others would be for the image compasition and that would put them outside the judging critierea. I would suggest that if you want to use multiple beasts pulling your burden then you should add slight variations to the beasts (like changing the shape of the horns…) to make each of them slightly unique from eachother. That way they would have to be judged as a team of beasts and not duplicates of the same beast.
Hope that helps.
nice concept. ive never seen a beast with that kind of leg structure. That would be one challenging walk cycle to pull off
Hey guys i made a new concept, it’s based on a walrus as you can see. I love the evolution way of inpiration. However I’m not abandoning the Terremoth.
I draw it with my mouse in coreldraw!!! Hehehe, kindof chinese torture, i finished it in photoshop. Please please Santa by me a wacom or a scanner:shrug: I’m coloring it in this moment.
Which one do you prefer? :hmm:
I prefer the first one…more beastly…the second one is cute…kinda walrus/bulldog thing goin on…although maybe the second guy is much smaller than the first guy and you make him pulling the first beast…lol
Last updates for today.
A yes something more :bounce: , it’s about the contraption, i’ve been thinking about the owners of the beast. And my first idea was a people of wingued dudes. I get this idea looking at this birds wich are allways over big animals. And this give me the new idea for the contraption:
4 of the giant double buffalos pulling from a huge chariot with a tree on it!!! Hanguing from the branches are the wingued dudes houses!!! Well, the all tree is the house…
I have the image of kindof giant bonzai pulled by my horned beasts. They use it fom crossing a huge steppe wich is the territory of this horned giants.
What dya think?
I’ve been doing some sketches hope to scan it soon.
wow this sketches are awesome! if you stick to them your model will be great!
can’t comment much on the model at the moment, but I’m sure it will be as good as the sketch ![]()
