Beast of Burden - Character/Contraption - Erilaz

#81

Just reminded me of the wiedest thing I saw between Ayers and Alice…38°…middle of the red center…what crosses the road here…a bloomin’ turtle!!!

Nice country you have there Erilaz…apart from the bity things!

#82

Yes… many death dealing insects of doom. Yay!

Well, I live in Melbourne, one of the less harsh areas of Australia… well, if you don’t call harsh being 40 degrees one minute and 7 degrees half an hour later! (We could call Melbourne the city of four seasons in one day!)

Hey, here’s some more of that hare.

Now THAT’S scrawny! :surprised Still need to work on rib cage bits as well as the arms. Sort of looks like he’s wearing forearm length mittens!

#83

Whee! More updates. Only little things, but I’m trying to show as much progression as possible.

Ribs!

#84

Another angle for your critiquing pleasure…

#85

get that bunny a carrot or 2 … LOL
he’s starving to death…
just kiddin man…
great job… loving the hare…

#86

LOL your poor rabbit looks great. The modeling is coming along really well. I might have missed this, but why is your rabbit so thin?

Awesome work so far! I really love this piece.

#87

Very cool
I have 1 suggestion: Why don’t you make his front teeth bigger, I think it would be cooler :bounce:

#88

Give him a bit of a snout, make the teeth bigger…AND FEED HIM!

#89

Thanks everyone once again!

The hare is so thin because I want him to be an emaciated. scrawny evil bunny down on his luck, with his slave tortoise completely exhausted.

I’ll post up a couple of big teeth and I’ll set to work on the nose soon (It hasn’t been forgotten!)

Thanks again. Do you think we’ll all make it to the deadline?

#90

Great rabbit !
some carrots for Xmas should be a nice present

I think that the central bone of the thorax is too much rectangular in the bottom
I my opinion, a little more rounded looked better.

I love the concept of rabbit and turtle

work ! is so good to see each update

#91

YoGoLo : You’re absolutely right. I’ve still got to work on that sternum. (Looks like he’s swallowed a ruler!)

I’m out of commission at the moment with a cold the size of Zr0-1’s beast clogging my airways and pushing me to nasty fevers, so You mightent get an update anytime soon.
:annoyed:

Screen… causing… hurty… eyes…:surprised

I’m in the process of rigging the Hare (The tortoise doesn’t need any, he’s not going anywhere!) and I’ve fixed some minor bugs. If I’m lucky and I’m feeling up to it, I’ll post something tonight, but otherwise it may have to wait until tommorrow.

Why did I have to get this NOW, with only 8 days to go?
WHYYYYYYYEEEEE?

#92

snifff cough cough
Okay, here’s a quick pose. It’s pretty bad, but I wanted to make sure I’d got the envelopes right. Won’t get much done tonight, I’m taking it very slowly. Don’t want to make myself worse! :hmm:

#93

Take it easy young man…get to bed, plenty of liquids!
Hey, just thought, you got 3 pages here…to my one…LOL :-(…guess I have time to catch up now…:bounce:

Get better soon, that bunny is coming along nicely and has to be finished!!

#94

Thanks neilyB! I totally agree with you. I’m pacing myself and taking it easy. As it is, I’ve taken the day off work today to try and recover.

But… boredom will set in during the day, so I may have to do a bit of work on the model.

It’s actually kind of relaxing to sit and go slow on the scene, in between lying down and sleeping, and drinking copious amounts of tea and water! Maybe I could right a book: “How to get well by 3D modelling!”

But now… I nap!

#95

I hope you feel better soon. the rigging and modeling look great on the rabbit. Nice stuff bro!

#96

Well, I’m chugging along. I’ve got 20 minutes before a doctor appointment, so I might as well render up a few posts for you to view.

#97

I’ve welded the two halves of the tortoise together. Check out the bad low polys on that wrap of poles! Ewww. I’d better fix that! :hmm:

#98

Hare and staff.

#99

And a quick pose test.
That’s all from me until later. Wish me luck at the doctors! (Although all she’s going to say is “Rest, liquids and Panadol!”)

#100

the rabbit looks like he’s in need of some turtle soup.
mmmWaaaa hahahaha.

ps, great sttuff.
