Heheheh, I know . . . my working methods seem to suggest a horrible final piece hehehe (those crappy quick renderings I showed early probably has everyone nervous:) )
But everything should be fine

My very favorite piece of this contest so far!!! Dying to see it done too…

Congrats, and …

Tee hee hee! I showed your whole thread to my work-people. You should have seen them! Everyone was huddled round the computer going “OOOOOOH!.. AHHHHHHH!” and some other words I won’t post for their blasphemous nature (which were spoken with awe, not in criticism!). You’ve impressed them all!
And who could blame them?
I still worry that you’re not going to finish this in time!
So C’mon man! Post more!!! More I tells ya! :surprised
Fantastic work. Can’t get enough. :bounce:
Thanks guys, this contest was certainly one of my favourite contests I entered in these last few month. It’s been a pleasure.
In two hours, I will be finished with the boat entirely and all that will remain to be finished will be the figure head.
sob that pheonix is looking so unlikely
But . . . I’ll certainly try . . . what ever the cost . . .
Anyways, here’s another “test” render I did just to see if things were looking ok.
Gasp!
Beautiful.
And for once, I have a small crit to give! So rare for this great model.
The arms of the man on the front of the boat. What’s going on there? It doesn’t look right. Might be the angle, but they don’t seem as well formed as the womans arms. Sort of like plasticine.
Still, great work. All the pieces are coming together.
Oops, I uploaded the wrong image for a second there. If you see the women again, refresh the page heheheh
Erilaz --> youuuu, made my day. I am now modeling with a smile
As for the comment, yup, your right, I did a horribly quick job on their rigging. Now that they are in position somewhat, I am going to seriously refine them. But crits are alway appriciated, keep em coming
NoWhereMan --> Aaacckkk, I am giving it all I got captain hehehe. I’ll see what I can do:)
…what can i say? nothon
have i some crit? nothing
are you god modeler? YES:thumbsup:
You’re alpha and omega graphist man…
love concept & everys littles details (too too much work !! it makes me crazyyy:eek: )
Ok, I just had to try a high resolution one:p I am not to sure about the colors though, I was just a test. Otherwise, I finished the boat, but now I am stuck once again on the figure head . …

Manicalavera15 --> Hey . . . thanks.
Flypaper --> “Do I work for an architectural firm or something?!!” uhhmm, nope
I have yet to get a job in the art industry (and hopefully it will be a game company:) ) I just enter these contests to work on my portfolio for when I finally get off my butt and start looking for work:p
Well, the deadline is almost up . . . darn it.
WOW you oipwegfpadukgcjblwakjdshf98pewoud!!!:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
I got curious to know wheres bump and wheres modeling…are the wood plancks in the laterals bump??
keep it up, ull sure do it in time ![]()
Wow, it´s amazing! The design reminds me theones of FF (i don´t remember the number, perhaps VII), it looks perfect!
The final render should be HUGE to show all the little details.
As an architecture student, your baroque ornaments captivate me.
yah! Apt Pupil, you got some serious talent, this is a really solid piece of work, gosh, damn impressive.
Wow Apt, thats a nice boat. I’m really looking forward to see the details on the rest of it.
damn damn ,this is awesome , your really talent et aussi patient ,all those little detail ,pis ta fait vite aussi .
excellent ,and i love the color ,finalement ca marche sur ton serveur ?
Gabe Merci:) mes, Mon serveur cause toujours des problemes. Quande j’assai de voir le grand jpg, il load pas
Sa marche juste 25% de la fois maintenons. Can I still email you my final image for you to post here?
Artifex hey, thanks. I finished everything, so now I am just gonna do some final renders and make a final compostion . . . soon.
Tubby Thanks man, I really appriciate it. This was certainly a fun contest.
Pancreas yup, I got this big huge book beside me of the beroque period. It prooved, very, very usefull. Unfortuanatly, I was encapable of matching their folds in clothing on my angel and man cry didn’t have enough time . . .
NowhereMan Thanks for the compliments. Bumps . . . hmmm, the tower roofs, the towers inner circles, the wood planks, the fin’s pattern, the top sail, the pillars indents and the inner section of the middle boat [just on top of the cannon holes I didn’t have time to work on thoroughly] all have bump maps. Everything else, modeled:)
Here is just one last shot of my the main picture that is going to the biggest part of my final composition:) I hope you guys like the color (note, it’s another crappy render at the moment, it was just a test)
Apt pupil, you need to change your name to Apt Master Artiste Extrodinaire.
This is a really fantastic looking piece. Without a doubt it has the most intracit modeling of all the challenge entries.
I hope you can get something done for the Pheonix, but even if you don’t the piece is still top-notch.
Great work man. :applause: :applause:
No time to talk now, I can’t believe I am going to do this, but I am going to try and create the pheonix
But thanks for the comments:)
Gabe --> Thanks man, I really appriciate it. I hope you don’t mind, but I will send it to you tomorow. I have to try a create a pheonix now sob Thanks again.
Come on! you can do it!
I wanna see this master piece finished !!
:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
Hey Apt! You probably don’t need to (because you’re so damn skilled), but post up progression shots of your pheonix so we can help you along! I really want you to finish this piece!
If it makes things faster, render them without brazil! Just use scanline to speed up the process and render the final shot in brazil later!!
I’ll send over a pack of cheerleaders to spur you on!
