nice points rizob. you can reall see that the flappy skin was just tacked on in the end in this next image.
Whats a "shiznit ".? Good I hope

love those bulgy squishy muskles. little tight in places? (creases between muskles) Maybe the front legs are a little to big? Maybe not. Real sense of mass, and weight.
I dig it too, only crit I have in this early stage agrees with lOrd: the muscles seem as if they should be a bit rounder. angles and creases seem a little unnatural.
on the shiznit note: Iâm not sure how the phrase came around, but it means âyour work is the shitâ which somehow came around to meaning âgood work!â, take it as a compliment.

Thatâs looking really coolâŚI still have to look into that modeler when itâs out public.
Like said, I think you already made all the crits yourself
Exaggerated proportions could be cool stylistically though, but that would be a different turn from the sketch. Really dig the definition youâve got going so far. ![]()
P.S. shiznit is good, so is being âthe bizombâ. Itâs new twists on something be âthe shitâ or âthe bombâ (which were also good). Them crazy kids today.
Thanks Guys. Yea Ive got alot of work to do on the loosening onf the muscles. Unfortunatly âClayâ hasnt got Softselection on the Tighten feature yet whould meake this eaier:p
OKay IM going home nowâŚhonestâŚIm going to have to work hard on this as there is alot of other shiznit models out there and I think im going to have to be the bizombist around to stand a chance:surprised Im 22 years old and already feel like the old guy out of touuch with the youth:cool:
hi chico
very well-done mesh , great!
but i think you should ignor
that smile on the face of creature!
make it stupid-angry or
whatever but smily!
Great work Chico! I canât wait till clay goes public, it seems like a great tool.
Crits: Maybe you could make the top of the legs larger and bulkier so the legs will be in proportion and less cute. I would still scale down the front feet a bit though. I dont picture this as a big beast so bulking up the legs would give her that short but sturdy feel.
Keep them updates comin! ![]()
ila_solomon: Thanks man, and yea your very right about the goofly look on the face, Truth is Im still not sure how I want to do the head. I have a pretty cool idea, I just havent had time to site down and rough it out yet.:surprised
Fetus23: TeheâŚthanks, okayâŚa headâŚIll see what I can do in the next couple of daysâŚSigh I wish I had a computer at home:hmm:
Chad: youre absolutly right. AT the moment she looks quite large and tall, which is cool, but I was more thinking something closer to the ground, like a rhino, or hippoâŚMore Research I belive:)
If I bulk out the shoulders, and the legs, and brought the feet in lenghthways then I might be on the right track. ALso add more detail to the feet too.
Cheers all, these crits are fantastic. An update will be in a couple of days I hope:)
hey chico espaki was right it means your work is great, dont feel old and out of touch, im 21 you only got me buy a yer, sorry im american and slang terms flow from my mouth freely. are you rendering in clay as well, i like the simple interface, anyway keep up the good work
Thanks, yea down here in New Zealand we only get the slang once some celebrity starts using it on the lastest movie
Clay has a .rib exporter that fires up BMRT. But my skills in BMRT are nothingâŚso I just used the default (fist couple of B&W images) but the last image I just quickly did in max so you guys could get a better idea of what you were looking at.
Reguarding the interface of clayâŚwell the true gem is the fact that it doesnt have oneâŚreallyâŚtheres no right click menu so thats freed up for other tools, and there no buttons you need to push to do anything. Most commands can be done on a three button moue with the help of Alt Shift and CtrlâŚand everything else is really acessable too. The idea is that you should be able to do all things at any timeâŚI think:)
Wow chico man, I just realized I havenât replied to your thread. Iâm sorry about that, I thought I had.
:wip: bonk
 bonk
OK Iâm going to start from the sketches and work my way down so Iâll proâlly be repeating some things.
I picture your beast with a longer neck than it has in the sketches. Not much longer, just a bitâŚmaybe like a horseâs neck length.
I LOVE the camel-style toes. i like the back feet more than the front, but thatâs proâlly because they look a bit more like a normal camelâs feet.
The muscle tone in the legs and chest are fantastic.
For the droopy skin I would suggest you try making it like this: Try starting it a little higher up the neck than where it is now. maybe just below the âadamâs appleâ. Then have it split and run to the outside front of the âarmpitsâ of the front legs. Pick it back up behind the front legs from the rear-most portion of the pit, and have it stretch back along the flanks and have it finally merge completely back into the body just about an inch from the rear legs.
Just my 2 cents. Sorry again for not replying sooner.
:wip: bonk :wip: bonk
:rolleyes:bonk :rolleyes:bonk
Well I cant say I wasnt hurt
Thanks for the crits though. I dont know about the longer neck, Ill experiment though.
Nice Idea with the saggy skinâŚou your suggecting that rather than a fin type sag, I sould âŚwell split it into two fins.?..I kinda want to keep it at least one finâŚas I figure that this chick has been going for many years, so she outta be well tonned. But I wanted something flimsy for secondary motion, hence the fin at the base and the udder. The more I think about your idea, the more I like itâŚhummmm
Someone posted some great elephant images on another thread here, so I ll look at them closely, and as I mentioned before, I want to do more research before I get much more done.
Thank you and you are forgivin nowâŚI was wondering how long it would takeyou mr Posts: 1417
Excellent feedback from everyone here. Thanks guys.![]()
OKay lil update now:)
I havent much time right now, but Ive fixed up the feet, they still need work but they are well on their way. I still have to work in the feet muscles etc alot. Also I havent toned down the Shoulder area yet.
I think next is the head. Then when Im all happy Iâll add the details like veins and wrinkles.

haha, great work
The muscles are well done, but maybe the soulderâs one should have a more rounded form, cause by now, i donât think he can move the front legs
Canât wait to see more
Bye :wavey:
I love the blunt claws. Great. The muscle/skin folds are really starting to come together well.
looking good i know you havent got much done, only crit right now is i would give him some really pronounced ankles, i think zero made a comment about a camal. i would grab some reference. the leg looks stiff i think with the lack of joints. anyway keep going. ohh and i also like the idea of two fin things, but give them alot of wrinkles. i love it dont stop now
first, the modeling is really great!
maybe itâs just me, but I think the sketch looks more like a bull/horse type animal, and the model looks more like a cat/lion type animal
so what head would it have?
Looks great so farâŚ
your modelling is very cleanâŚ
cool conceptâŚ
canât wait for the finished productâŚ
