Beast of Burden - Character-Bulldozer

#1

Heres Bulldozer…needs some more work on the anatomy and harnesses…will try to get it finished in the next few days.

#2

hahhaha nice model, but why is he straining to pull a little car??

#3

Really amazing work on the beast. I think the pose and expression both look fantastic.

My only crit right now is the truck it’s pulling is tiny. Why would it strain so much with such a small little truck to pull? I’d suggest making the truck much bigger (maybe the same size as the beast) and removing the wheels. Then it would be a real burden to pull.

Great work though, the beast really looks excellent.

Ah ha! Tom, my young (old?) apprentice.

Tom’s a colleague of mine, and hadn’t used Max until fairly recently. Been showing him Meshtools etc and he’s taken to
it like a fish to water.

I look forward to the day when in true Vader style he strikes me down. (althought I will of course become more powerfull than he can possibly imagine.)

I look forward to the day when in true Vader style he strikes me down.

Don’t think that day’s far off!

I’m feeling two emotions - one I’m ecstatic that there’s another cow for the [b]Cow War/b.

Two I’m gutted, because this looks simply brilliant.

I think ‘landrover’ is a little odd - but then it does have a nice commercial feel, which’ll go well in any portfolio

Quality stuff.

Jumpy yellow things ahoy -> :bounce:

:annoyed: Tom, Matt get back to work goddammit…messing around with this bull…

err…on second thoughts I can’t talk, I’m browsing the challenges…

Right, I think it needs more tension in the back legs. I know that you are still working on the anatomy but I think the “joke” is funnier if he is pulling even harder on the little car - the strain is showing on his face but not on his back half.

Great stuff though, keep it up.

Love that expression. He’s workin’. more please.

#8

Ok I’ve reversed the car which helps with the effort/tension dynamic. Need to work on the harness and will probably attach ropes to the horns contructing a’Tug of War’ between the two protagonists.

#9

Maybe its a Ford…“like a rock” anyway…I like the strain look on his face. keep it up.

#10

Great stuff! Funny idea indeed! My only suggestion would be to fix up those back legs (as raymonkey suggested) and to fix up the harness. Right now, the harness seems a bit unbelievable…as though it could just slide right off over his head. Perhaps a collar type thngy will make it seem more secured and harness-like. Keep us posted!

I still think that car needs to be bigger. That or maybe add in two or three more cars behind the first one. It just doesn’t seem like it would be heavy enough to cause that beast even a little bit of stress pulling it. :hmm:

Just my 2 cents.

Made the Car bigger. Need to learn how some good rope making techniques because as you can see mine are a little crude. Still the ‘Tug of War’ theme works quite well je crois.
