Beast of Burden - Character - BrainFaucet

looks like a great ferret to me…

Good job, cept the fact that it is pink… that is kinda killin me at the moment…

Here is a couple of good tip for working with low res and converting it to highres…

the area of the hands and feet… if you are good at modeling, which the ferret suggests you are, model the knuckles, tendons and claws/nails once it is converted to high res, you will have a better looking model…

tesslation - vs - mesh smoothing… tesslation follows the polys better and gives a more organic look, though meshsmoothing can be much better…

Smoothing groups… love em for games, but they don’t work on my models at all, especially organic stuff… I would rather have a billion polygons that are smooth, then let the computer tell me what is real…

All in all, try every method of smoothing by polys, and see what you like best… it is just as simple as that…

h4d35 has a cool looking wolf, that is very suprising how low the polycounts are, and how much you can bend how you use em…

Hope it helps…

I like the overall! Good job.
I wasn’t too sure about the pink skin but must admit that lately in your render doesn’t look bad at all. There’s one thing but maybe it’s just me, it looks like the front legs are planted a bit forward. Anyway goooood job! Keep doing!
