Ok guys…had a little bit of time to do something so here are some updates…this guy is called a Lunatog, and his a$$ glows at night or in darkness…not quite finished with him but here is the start

#85

here is a shot with him in the scene…

#86

ok one more…just a close up of the cage and the lunatog…both of which still need a little work…but here you go!

#87

haha. Thats awsome!! Really like the little cage…this whole peice looks wonderful man. I’m a sucker for curly cues

Haven’t checked yours in a while… LOOKING GREAT!   The only thing I have to crit is that the two “little dried goblins” are exactly alike. perhaps slighty different poses/colors/scale for them. That way they won’t look like instances. otherwise once again

#89

u rock:buttrock:  :applause:

#90

Fetus23:
I do plan on rigging him eventually, but for now I have some more modeling I wiould like to do for him…I will keep you posted when I am ready for rigging;)

dosadi:
Thanks for the crit…that is a good idea…will do that for the next post…thanks…

Excellent…one of the best in a great field thus far. I love the whole thing Bezerker75, just a nice deep fun and clean creation with nice added touchs…keep going, I want more, it’s very fun to see more creations pop up.:applause:

#92

ok…a little each night and I might finish this…here’s another update!

#93

 Very nice Berzeker!!! The new bump map is really cool. The diference between the harness and the skin is very noticeable now. If you can, you should make the harness leather peaces more thick and it would be perfect…
Very nice details, the web full of water melons, the hanging dead frog dudes, the a$$ glowing dude in his cage, etc…
Very clean design Berzerker. I of the most neat in the comp.
Keep going

:applause:

I like it so far, and alot of nice details! but (and I hope I ain’t a pain in your butt when I’m saying this again  ) but I still don’t like the bump map on his skin… I dug up some images from the “dinosaur” movie to show you:

notice how the bumpMap look in the areas where there’s much movement and vice versa.
anyway, it might be to much work to make a bumpMap like that, you’d probably need to UV and paint it by hand(if that’s not what you’ve already done??) but it’s just a tip. if not now, maybe you get use of it in the future,

take care

damn - right on

#96

wow, bezerker, that last pic is looking amazing. I like the idea of using the glowing-butt creature in a cage as a lantern idea. You should make the final scene a little dark so you can have that lighting the way for the BoB.

#97

 wow, i really like this one.

specially that firefly-assed guy in the cage.
you should definately make a night scene out of this.

#98

hey guys thanks for all the possitive feedback:thumbsup:
You guys rock!
Fedron: I will try and add a little more thickness to the leather…if it doesn’t alter too much in the way of moving every detail out…hmmm…I will have to play with that one! thanks for the advice!
fellah: Those images really help alot…I didn’t have much to use for reference when I was painting the bump…thanks for diggin those up…I had a few small pics of elephants…
do you think the folds and bumps in those pics from dinosaur are created with a bump or some kind of displacement map? also I wonder if some of the folded areas in the neck are actually modeled? anyway thanks again and I will try and work on the texture some more!
ZrO-1 and sherban: I was debating on making the scene a bit darker (night like) and I still may…I will just have to find a way to do it without compromising the details…

Once again…thanks guys:thumbsup:

I thinnk you should put some nostrils on him - poor fellah…

Furthermore some more paintwork on the leatherstraps is needed imo. A gloomier environment would probably look sweet too - but you already mentioned that.

Once again very nice work and hope to see some updates soon.

#100

I have some updates coming soon…
Rok: You know i was thinking about nostrils then i forgot…hmmmm…good looking out! but as far as the paint work on the leather straps…well…the challenge is really more about the modeling…and that’s my main focus right now…I don’t have any diffuse textures on this whole model with the exception of the bump maps…everything is done with flat shaders and bumps…and little adjustments in the specularities… maybe after i finish the whole model I will go back in and really texture this beast…I think he deserves to be finished!!

what do you guys think about a blow hole like a whale has? no maybe just regular nostrils! i don’t know yet!:bounce:
