Ball bounce animation, critique neeeeded :)

#1

I have been animation for some months now, and i have been doing ball animations for sometime now. Really basics ball animation. I mean so stretching, and no settle, just trying to get realistic timing and spacing. This is my latest project, using everything that i have learned: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18498207/0000-0096.flv

I have not had the opportunity to blender much due to high school -___-

Please tell me how i can make it even more realistic.

Thanks So Much, and Happy Animating.

Nice work mate. Looks really good.

Not sure if you’ve seen the Victor Navone Splinophilia tutes on his site but they’d be great for you to check out since you’re working on this kind of thing. http://www.navone.org/HTML/Tutorials.htm

Also good work on starting with the basics. So many people jump straight into acting without knowing all these basics so you’re doing the right thing. It’ll pay off down the track.

Thanks for the like and the link. I saw some of your animations, and lets just say I am honored by your help.

As soon as i saw the link you sent me, I started right away to make a better animation
Hence: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18498207/ballBounce01.flv

I have to say that link help a lot.
Though, i am not sure if it looks the same to you, but my ball seems to be moving a bit slow in the air…?
And if so how do i fix it?

Or it that just me? :surprised

Thanks a bunch!

Yeah those tutes are very cool. Simple…but delicious.

To be honest it looks great to me man so I think it’s just you. If you want to take things a step further and aren’t sick of animating balls you could try to animate different types. So a bowling ball, beach ball and rubber ball etc. Could be something fun for you to play with to help learn more about weight and timing etc.
