It’s super cute, but I wouldn’t want to touch it! I was looking over my shoulder on the train this mornig, just to be sure he/she wasn’t lurking just out of view
Nice work!
That is excellent and the funny thing about it is I ride that metro lol. D.C. is doomed.
Thank you everyone…yes, DC is DOOMED
and so is the rest of the world- didn’t I mention that this fellow is hermaphrodite and as such can reproduce very quickly with any other octopus thingy he meets?? The subways will never be safe again!
I wish I could submit this for the challenge, but I did it before this challenge was announced and also it’s only partially cg, so I’ll have to come up with a new idea…
Just want to throw another idea in here before I forget–
I’m thinking of a guy in a spacesuit with his visor reflecting aT-Rex and velociraptors heading straight for him.
‘DINOSAURS on MARS!!!111one!!!’
I like the concept of the octopus in train.
And the pre visualize so far is quite awesome.
Love the Dinos on Mars idea - let’s see some sketches. Good luck and looking forward to see what you’ll come up with.

Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I like these new snacks, but they move and it’s such a hassle getting them all back into my mouth. Next time, send ones that don’t run away, k?
That picture is really tiny. And its not obvious that thire on mars.
Come on Theresa, you can do better than that
Not a bad start though, choosing green for the dino color and the glassbowl helmet is very retro. keep it up
Lol!
I’m seeing stuff or the dinosaur actually as a globe on his head??
Very funny idea! heheh!
Interesting concept to the last post…wonder why the monster has the helmet on…and able to fire?
@Ladymedusa: I made it bigger and it’s not really important for it to look like it’s on Mars, just being in outer space should be sufficient to get the message across!
@Yongkiat: Because it’s a cheesy B-movie, of course!
@JRGauthier: Thanks, that’s the vibe I was going for.
I’d make the background look really obviously fake and make it look like the monster is being lit straight on, like it’s a stop motion puppet. I’d also do some depth of field effects to make it look like the monster is gigantic ‘‘in comparision’’ to the rocketship…
I like the dinosaur way better than the subway. I think you’d need to fully commit to the B-movie to pull it off though—show a human foot coming out from the ripped dino costume, show the boom mic or some actual lights entering the top of the frame, etc.
Keep it up!
I loved the dino breathing flames with his helmet on—that is really funny!
