This is the rough concept for a robot. I’m envisioning a cardboard box, possibly wrapped in aluminum foil, with dryer hoses covering the arms and legs.
No B movie is complete without a ray gun. The rest are ideas for a bit more detailing on the robots.
These are some of the things I’ve found for inspiration. They’re all images from globaleffects.com (they’re a prop and costume company focusing primarily on sci fi and horror films).
George Lucas should have done his groceries there for episodes 1, 2 and 3 :argh:
Nice refs. I especially like the ray guns.

Thank you guys!
I’m having a hard time here. I want to make this as absurd as possible, but it’s incredibly difficult to outdo actual B-movies. My standard for this is generally Santa Claus Vs. the Martians as that’s about as ridiculous a movie concept (and movie) as I know of… nothing I’ve got seems to be at quite that level though.
That said, these are what I’ve brainstormed so far:
[ol]
[li]Dracula Meets the Astrobots[/li][li]The Mutant Robot Vixens From Planet X[/li][li]Bride of the Undead Cannibals From Beyond the Stars[/li][li]Sherlock Holmes Vs. the Vampire Martians[/li][li]Temple of the Zombie Children[/li][/ol]I think all of them have some potential. I’ll probably whip up some basic concepts to flesh out the ideas a little more to see how feasible they are, but if there’s one in particular people seem to like I’ll most likely focus on that.
