I was surprised not to see Your exellent work amount other winning pieces but that’s life. I wish to see “Honorable mentioned” on the site like they always did but this time they skipped it… that’s somehow disappoint me but we have to deal with it. Anyway great work.

Maybe your idea was not so original but the painting style deserved at least to best dig. painting award. Big disappointment.
I loved everything about your image Sergey. The idea was strong and beautifully painted. Your painterly style is just wonderful. I can’t imagine that judging was anything but torturous for those involved. There were so many outstanding entries (and I do love the winner in this category - the idea and finish is outstanding), and yours was right up there among the best (at least in my opinion). It must have come down to a personal taste thing in the final stretch. Maybe they need a bigger array of smaller prizes to reward all the excellence - but then maybe the numbers wouldn’t be so tempted to join in??
Bad luck on this one, but be consoled by the fact that you have ended with a fantastic and widely acclaimed image, that will be a superb addition to your wonderful portfolio. May the jurors look on you more kindly next time.
