B-Movie Entry: Semih Yaman

#41

very cool and very original. I love the title and how it portrays the characters… very nice indeed. 5 stars!!

#42

Hey Semih,

Cool concept, like a lot  Great concept sketch and the models are simply awesome. Totally love the ninja alien design!! hhahaha fantastic! :buttrock:

Waiting for more updates. Cheers!!

#43

Thanks ShogunWarrior:beer:
Thanks Fernando

Updates coming soon! :bounce:

The first version of the cheerleader/Ninja girl, Chika Hayabusa (Chika=scattered flowers, Hayabusa=Falcon) is almost completed. Also I developed Jack a little further… in the description on the first page you see, he is a veteran pilot and inventor. How to bring that across??? The first idea was to add some scars and a missing limb… from that point the sollution was simple, just replace one arm with a self-built looking robot arm and you´ve got both themes combined!

#44

Lots of great updates. I especially love that Space Zombie Ninja UFO. You’re making some excellent progress here.

#45

Oh, thanks a lot mdavid! There are tons of versions of the Space Zombie Ninja UFO, as i tried many variations of the Shuriken/UFO mix idea. It´s really like you said about your Rocket: though the forms are relatively basic there are size/shape relations, that even with only small changes, make a big difference and make the design work or not.

Right now, the new character I´m working on drives me crazy! :banghead:

She makes the slowest progress since the beginning of the challenge. I´m going to post a version of her soon anyway…

#46

Great work. Impressive characters. Each is unique and express a ton of personality. Awesome entry.

#47

Thank you very much ravioli_rancher. Giving the characters personality is what makes them look alive, I think. So when I have succeeded with that, I´m very happy. :bounce:

The new character is also almost finished, update´s coming really really soon…

#48

Finally, the first version of Chika Hayabusa. It really took quite some time to achieve the look I was after. Cute, young and feminine, yet looking able to kick some Zombie b…!

#49

Hey Semih, your Chika is superb - honestly, absolutely perfect! Better than the Kill Bill girl!!

#50

Very interesting cast you have here. I’ll keep my eye on this wip - and eager to learn stuff!

Regards
Giom

Hey Semih,

Cool progress on your concept, love Chika design. really great face texture. She looks totally dangerous, cool!! :buttrock:

Great work, cant wait to see more updates. Cheers!!

#52

Truly realistic and appropriate expression. The edges of the hair seem a bit too soft. Could be just the image compression.

Incredible feminine character, nontheless. :applause:

#53

I was gonna say deadly little Miho from Sin city.

Great characters. Youre really tearing through this now. Cant wait to see more of the space ninja zombies and shuriken spaceship.

Hey, thank you very much! Tarantinos Gogo Yubari was of course a big inspiration! The earlier versions of Chika looked more like her, over time she changed to softer, more childlike facial features.

Thank you! Good to see you here!

Thank you very much! The face texture is a mix of 12 layers of skin shades, structures and make up. I tried to give the skin some depth this way and the dangerous but cute look almost drove me mad the last couple of days... I´m really happy with the result now.

Thank you! Doing realistic hair in 3D is still a lot of work, so I just did some quick sketches in PS to see what hairdo looked best. I liked this one the most and have already started creating the 3D version. ;)

Thanks a lot, man! Yeah, deadly little Miho... she´s the reason Chika has freckles. I thought this would add some extra cuteness! The Space Zombie Ninjas just become more and more evil, every time I continue sculpting :D I´m not even sure if this really improves the character...

#55

I wouldn’t worry about it. Space Ninja Zombies can’t be evil enough

#56

This is the Base Mesh for Huxley the dog. Probably proportions need some more fine tuning…

#57

The dog looks very good! Maybe a little more chin and front legs slightly thicker?

#58

Hey Semih,

Cool initial model for the dog. Perhaps you need to correct a bit the jaw, bit biger and strong and going more deeper under the skull. Maybe the “elbows” of the front legs need to be rised a bit, only a comment

Cool work and waiting for more updates!

Thanks, man! You´re right with both points, I already improved that. Btw: What´s up with the mysterious girl with the razor blade? Waiting for updates!

  Ferx >
Thanks Fernando! The jaw is bigger now and did you really see this "elbow" issue without looking at reference? Very good observation! I rised them and it looks much more naturalistic now.

There´s lots of new stuff in the making... first versions of Huxley with fur, some mudboxing on Chika and new variations of the design sketch. Everything is still kinda raw, the next update should still come pretty soon! :bounce:

A more refined version of the composition. I added Joes car, Jacks robot arm and the background now shows the typical small B-movie village.
