B-Movie Entry: Ralph King

#61

WIP - added the Cosmic Oracle Thing made from a baby seed pod thing inside a magnolia flower (from a relatives yard). Still may add some atomic particle broccoli flying around. If I knew it was going to snow this much I would have done the Attack of the Abominable Snow Broccoli.

bboymr /Iain - It is an honor to have someone else warn our fellow earthlings of the vegetable scourge. You might want to add your - B-movie link, so it is easier to follow your entry. (To add a link to your signature block click on the Welcome Back bboymr on the right upper side of a CGS page, at the first link edit your signature block etc.) Look forward to seeing your monster veggies!

LightSovereign/ Marley - Thank you, I agree the new composition lets me add more fun elements

Nemoriko/ Dennis -Thanks

Ferx / Fernando - After the broccoli pineapple battle there will be many new and exciting recipes. And yes you are correct Ken has been turned to broccoli but is small guy in the background.

#63

WIP - remodeled, photographed, isolated and retouched the Giant Pineapple Monster. Recently found and really love the PhotoShop Black and White filter, it has some nice controls.

#64

WIP - fixed up the main Broccoli Monster and some made adjustments to the composition.

Hey Ralph,

Totally cool image. Love the expression of the giant monster broccoli  And pineapple is fantastic. That monsters would be wrestling superstars  . Ken chasing the mutant broccoli that takes away the girlfriend (Barbie), is a great detail. (The evil-minded say it was by choice, that Ken would not change Barbie´s pink buggy for a Ferrari )

Cool work and waiting for the more awaited fight of the year! Cheers!!

hehehe…
you are brilliant.!!
you beat my Trashilla !!
your humor is much better !!
keep going…i want to see it finished…!
guy with broccoli instead of hand…is sooo… good !!
all monsters are fantastic !!!

#67

Loving this, a true nightmare scenario, nice job on the characters! :applause:

WIP - refined Barbee used the Photoshop Black and White filter this time for a lot more control (when converting color images). Added nuclear cooling towers (which I used to pass on my way to my Grand Parents former address) and an atomic symbol circling a levitated stalk of broccoli to imply the origin of the broccoli monster. Also added a wolf spider, in real life he was about 3.5 inches long. Going to work on some buildings and maybe a sexy Bok Choy lady. Thank you for viewing, comments welcome.

#69

Hi Fernando - Thanks for your comments. The rep for the broccoli monster has been getting requests for wrestling appearances.

Jacek - Thank you for your kind words and praise. Remember veggies and fruit come and go but garbage cans monsters are forever!

Sean - Thanks.

#70

This must be an early production of Albert R. Broccoli way before the James Bond Movies.
keep it up!

#71

WIP - the old flip trick some minor tweaks here and there

#72

you combined creative imagination and humor. keep it up.

#73

Hi Hanzen - You are right Albert’s ghost is helping to direct this shoot.

LiZhu - Thank you for you comments

Hey Ralph,

Totally cool!! Great touch with the nuclear plant, and Barbie looks more than happy in the arms of that mutant broccoli ( who might be broccoli? hahahahahahaha :D). Love the oracle design, great!
Perhaps you can add some smoke and destruction in the city … or a lot of pineapple and broccoli salad

Cool work. Cheers!!

Great idea, I think you have a few good things going on with this idea. Perhaps not adding to much into the image would make the things you have put into it stand out more. It seems like this image can be allot of fun to create, he he he he!:arteest:

#76

WIP - Greetings, just a lot of clean up and tweaks

#77

WIP - Greetings, some compositional changes and updated the foreground broccoli carrying Barbee and repainted the airplane

Out of the loop for a while. My car was hit in the driver side door so I glad am I have fortified myself with Pineapple goodness. The other driver may have been driving under the influence of angry broccoli.

Hi Fernando - Thanks again for your fine comments.

Hi Christopher - Good point about a single focus. I have been thinking about that a lot. On one hand I want to tell key elements of a story without words and I want it to be interesting and fun. I have moved the landscape down a little and recomposed the image to add more emphasis on the giant angry broccoli. It is a cluttered image but kind of like a replay of parts of a bad movie. I also tried a vertical format to make the giant angry broccoli really big but it just did not seem to work. I like the horizontal format it is like a TV or movie image.

Thanks for the comments.

Bonjour Ralph,

Love your sense of humour, can’t wait to see this piece completed.

More WIP, want to only use my photos so making the background out of scraps of images I took. Need to paint some funky helicopters. Added some knifes and pepper shakers need to shrink them and do some resizing etc.
