Latest Update: Work In Progress: Tank M-46 Modeling

Hello all.
This is our second participation in the CG Challenge video team category, last year we won in the Compositing and Editing Award, in Steampunk Challenge Myths & Legends. It was a great experience. And now we meet again to participate in this challenge.

This was our final video

We are finishing up our script, and soon will post here.

Good luck to all.

Thats a big opportunity for do what we love, we will use our last mistakes and experience. I hope we can learn a lot and have great moments and new friends too .
I liked so much of this challenges and was very excited about the theme. Here we go , come on SetPixels lets do our best!!:buttrock:

Good luck guys - your steampunk entry was one of my favourites. No doubt you’ll produce another great piece of work this time round.

Look forward to watching your progress

Thanks Duncs for the support. Your entry is looking pretty cool!

We are finishing the story details and we will post some concepts soon.
Good contest to everyone!!

I lol’ed at the Diablo 3 music. But it did look good.

We will do a team video and the name of our story is “The Earth Enemy”. We are going to shoot most of the things and try to use a lot of matte paintings and set extensions for the environments. We will have an actor that will be our main character and sort of a hero. Our 3d guys will create the monster and a lot of elements including explosions and FXs, particles, cars and digital sets.

The Earth Enemy

"An ancient giant creature rises from the ground destroying everything in his way, killing thousands of people and leaving the city in terror. An archaeologist seems to be the only hope to save the world."

Some creature concepts coming soon!

Some references that we are using to create the story and look of the movie.

I liked your recent entry, very epic  gj
Cant wait to see what you come up with this time.

boa sorte pra voçês

How are you my friend? When are you coming to Rio again?
You are speaking Portuguese perfectly. hehe
Well, if you don’t have time to do your own video why don’t you help us finish ours?

All the best to you and I am planning to go to Buenos Aires soon, you could teach me some words in Spanish!

Thanks for the support, we are going to post some 3d models soon.

We were planning our shooting and finishing our script, but the 3d guys have already started modeling the character and some vehicles. We are spending a lot of time on the pre-production to be sure the story is passing the message we want. We have written some different versions of the script and now we have reached a point that we like. It has turned into a complex short movie with a lot of different shots and our challenge is to make it possible to complete on the deadline. We have a friend that has a 7D and will help us with the shooting and another friend that will shoot and edit the making of.

For now we have four people on the CG team and four people on the shooting/production team.

We are also going to write and record a theme song for the movie it should be fun.

Hope we can finish it on time!
