i’ve decided not to go with the pixar style…as much as i’d like to its just not part of my skillset yet(cartoony modeling)…it hopefully will be for a future challenge though…

Side on view of Santa…

For a first pass of my first fat guy I think he’s coming out quite okay…

started on the base meshes for santas clothes…

  • his jacket will be open at the front to display his manly hairy chest and rippling abs…lol
  • the sleeves will probably be ripped to show some hairy arms and some tattoos
  • Pants will probably have some rips in them somewhere…
  • he’ll also have army boots on

i’ve been struggling to find a good pose for santa, plus a composition for the whole scene…

hopefully i’ll have made some progress on it in the next few hours and i’ll post something up…

okay…i think i’ve worked it out…

here we have a rough as guts idea for the poster for my movie.

What you’re looking at is this:-

  • Santa riding Rudolph, blasting away at something
  • a damsel on the back (i’m undecided on the whether or not to have the damsel…but what a b-movie without a damsel)
  • up the top is the leader bee with his bee army behind him (as i said…its very rough, i’m hoping to come up with something cool for the bee-people)

the idea is that the shot of santa and co is superimposed over the top of the images of the bee people…

so thats part 1 of the concept…more in a sec…
