Congrats on finishing! Glad you had time to get all of this done. It’s a shame about the creature from the Black Lagoon, but it was a good time-saving decision to trim him and it didn’t leave a hole in the canvas. Good luck!

Hey bro! I loved the way you preserved the original characters look and added his colorful and realistic style. Excellent!

Nice work man, funny and perfect. Congratulations.

That looks great Mike, although you dropped the dame :frowning: I can’t say anyhing lewd because of who the model is

Did you use yourself as the model again for Godzilla? Hehe…

Seriously though, great job. Mike FTW!

Thanks for the kind words guys:blush:
I have to admit I was a little disappointed with this final. I think it turned out OK but I had a lot more I wanted to do with it and I just ran out of time. Such is life tho.

I might pitter with this over the next few weeks. I had some little suprize characters that were supposed to go in the background and few other little things that I never got to.

Anyway, it was fun (except for the last two days:banghead: ) and I think I’ll keep on with this so that I can use it in a portfolio some day.

Thanks again!

Awesome final piece!! Loved the characters and their facial expressions. Congratulations mate on finishing it, and good luck with the comp! :bounce:

#91

Very funny image! Love all the little things going on, particularly the wolfman’s insane expression and pose, and the blob oozing trough the projector’s window (which I discovered only after a while). The composition works well and wasn’t hurt by the cropping (though the creature from the black lagoon is one of the coolest rubber monsters around). Great entry!

#92

Beautiful! After looking at your great work I really want to watch some B-rated movie!

#93

Ditto, really captured the original characters look! Congratulations!

Hey Michael,

Really great image. Love the cool atmosphere on your image and the gang of classic monsters, great!!. Vicent Price handling the projector is simply fantastic! Like a lot the retro touch with the cinema food stuff :D, the coke, the mustard, the hotdog and the popcorns bag on the floor, put a cool and clever nostalgic touch on the image. The lighting mood is really nice.

Congratulations for this great concept!! Good luck! And now, time for a lot of tequila shots  Cheers!!
