B-Movie Entry: Matt Dixon

 I like this kind of humour. The idea with the juice is hilarious

Pretty much done with the basic rendering now. Just a few highlights and details to add. I want to get the logo in place next.

Looking good, Matt! I especially love all of the subtle hues in the sky, those lovely greens and blues and purples, and against them, the warm colors of the woman really look stunning. The planet itself feels a tad underdetailed, but that may not be necessary if it’s just going to get covered with a logo. Good luck with the last bits!

The Gherkinoids are dismayed to observe millions of their brethren imprisoned in glass jars and stacked on shelves. This dismay turns to horror as they learn that their kin are only freed from their briny cells to be devoured by humans! The cosmic cucumbers swiftly decide to teach us a lesson and invade! Poor Debbie is snatched up just one bite into a crunchy dill. What terrible fate awaits her? Can Miss Pickles, her faithful pooch, save the day or is this the end of Deborah Cornichon and millions of fellow gherkin-munchers across the globe?

Thanks Si, lordbiernac and Mike.

Not sure about the strap line at the bottom, but I don’t want to be fiddling with it all night so I’m calling it done here.

Hi, Matt, great work on this final piece! I just picked up a copy of your pin-up collection “Girls on Top” at a big comic-con here in San Francisco yesterday. Really beautiful work, and it’s great to see it all collected. The printing is really nice, too. (Anyone who else who likes Matt’s babe art should find a copy - it’s published by SQP.)
Cheers!

#35

Terrific! A saucy sensation from the planet Dill! :applause:

How did I miss this one? Matt, your entry looks great. Simple and awesome all at once. Great colors and character expressions. Love the little splash you added in the pickle juice in his helmet.

Good luck!!
