B-Movie Entry: Jonathan Clark

Very nice job so far. Good concept. I think you have a very good chance in this contest. :arteest:

wooooow great job man, the hyena dude came out awesome!

suggestion: maybe the upper headline is a bit too big, even bigger than the main tittle, you can try to make it smaller and in the background you can put a night sky and a big full moon, i think that would work great with your existing composition.

waiting for the final image, i know its gonna look great!

Wow! I like it very much! True spirit of B-Movie you have here.

very fitting of a b movie… great job on presentation as well… It’s turning out to be a great piece man… a lot of different element that work well together

#102

thx for the comments everyone! I’m getting back into the swing of things again now b/c I have some time to work on it.

#103

Man… very well done. I feel like I’m looking for a old VHS movie…a B-Movie. Great work. Good luck!

#104

Hyena man looks great. The only thought is that his machete could be a bit bigger  Also the woman’s face doesn’t look very fearful, but maybe it was your intention. Generally you have awesome piece round here

Very authentic looking poster! Personally, I liked the moon back there: Right now the entire piece has so much subtle noise, but the area behind HyenaMan feels very soft and airbrushy and doesn’t quite match. The moon back there broke it up more, but if you weren’t happy with it, maybe a very subtle tree-line, or silhouettes of mountains… or maybe just some more grunge textures could look nice?

Also, while I appreciate that you’ve made it look like an old battered poster, it’s a little distracting to have his head being severed by a fold line… maybe you could tone it down a bit, at least right where it crosses his neck and chin.

But mostly, it’s looking done. Great work! Good luck in the final judging.

Awesome stuff! Absolutely perfect. I really laughed when I read the promo and what made it so funny was how authentic it was. I could totally see this on the video shelf. Great Job!

This is one of the best texts in any poster in this competition. It cracks me up and it’s very clever. Congrats on getting it done and best of luck to you man!

I’m doing a b-movie poster about a creature that’s half man half hiena. I’m doing a classic image of the hero with a woman at his feet.

Wow that was so close. Literally with 2 minutes to spare I subitted my final image. That’s why my description of my piece was so short. Sorry about that guys. Thanks for all the comments everone. I’ll thank you all individually soon. I guess I’ve been trying so hard to find a job in the business that I lost track of the contest. Has anyone noticed that this forum sharpens and darkens your images when you submit. I think it does anyway. My descrription of my piece is coming soon.

Here is the wire image in case anyone wants to see the construction.

Mate, awersome models, and I really like how well you created the poster look. Great stuff
