Latest Update: Work In Progress: vampire samurais VS. ninja werewolves

Hello CGsociety!
Interesting challenge. Let’s see if we can come with something before the deadline.
The title pretty much says what my concept’s about.
Ere we go…
I wanna add a family in the middle of the scene to add some human elements into the image as well as some kinda cheezy, comic relief
Composition next up…

Hey man, good to see you here. Nice to see you starting already. I’ll be watching this thread.
I’m pretty happy with how this is laid out. Onto the detailing next. Need to add a little variety in the characters in the scene.
Good Looking Progress
Let me guess you’ve been wathcing underworld. HEHEHE! Got to love wolves and vampires
The weird expression of the family looks great. The contrast between the color and colorless also is impressive.
hey, nice to see you here. nice concept by the way. I’m sure to be watching this thread. I hope to see more updates soon. Goodluck
Thanks for the kind comments guys! Goodluck with all of your entries. Not sure if I can finish mine though xD Busy with work. We’ll see how far I can push this before the deadline
Wow, lots of detail to finish off in a short about of time. But it’s looking really nice! The thing I’m confused about is where my (the viewer’s attention) is supposed to be focused. The family is at the center and framed by the ring of bad guys, so it looks like they’re the focus… but while they’re cute, they aren’t half as interesting as the title characters. Those guys are cool, and they’re in the title… but it feels like they’re just a framing element right now. I think one of the issues is that everything is about the same value. Family in the back is bright, faces of the monsters are bright. Perhaps you can prioritize which group is more important and then make them the brightest thing on the page and fade back/darken the other. So either really put the family in the background, or darken the monsters so they truly act as a frame. Good luck! ![]()
Tnx for the visit Walrus! Yes, lots of stuff to work on before the finish and I don’t know if there’s enough time.
Anyway, good point on the focal point there. I guess I’ll just put the family in the background there.
Thanks for the tip!
And goodluck with your entry!
i don’t think my granma would wanna watch this lol thanks for dropping in guys. will post this up online when i’ve finished the piece
