AJ - Thanks a lot for the awesome comment man… Zpheres are cool (they do have limitations) but yeah if you pose them you loose the symmetry brushes… so it has to be all hand sculpted as a whole… hopefully i have enough time!..thanks again

Yongkiat - thanks man, I am trying to learn more about them as I go… the are pretty cool and the allow you to do stuff fast but they do have some limitations… resolution is one them, but so far so good…

dingwang6 thanks glad you like them !

gpepper thanks !

Antropus - thanks glad you like him, I am glad I posed him and then sculpted him.

fourcrowsArt - haha no worries, glad you like them! thanks a lot

Danko - hey no problem as long as you guys like them that’s awesome! thanks a lot

BUZZFX- thanks

Paperboy - thanks for the comment, glad you like the concepting and zbrushing.

Vampyrangel - thanks

Aven99 - haha thanks, he does resemble him a bit… I was trying to get some of that appeal of pixars characters… like sully from monsters inc… but with some changes to fit the theme and my style…

JRGauthier - thanks… well I made changes to their outfits to fit more the old chessy tech of b movies or old sci fi shows… the blue guys tentacles are a nod to the robot from the old “lost in space” tv series, and I added some elements to the smaller guy that will make him more of a classic martian with a ufo… But thanks a lot I am glad you think its cool or to cool!

#42

here is the martian guy with his UFO. Almost done with his sculpt.

#43

Wow killer modeling again…yep you’re getting that retro sci-fi look with that suit!

#44

great work man it’s just awsome continue… i hope to see the finish work

#45

He seems a bit in low res…

#46

Good luck to you!

#48

WOW,cool models! Beautiful style!

#49

The movement and feeling of mass in the blue monster sculpt is terrific, and I dig the proportions of your characters. Great work.

Thanks to everyone for stoping by… I am currently doing retopology stuff… nothing too interesting to show. I am at the more “tedious” techinchal part of the work: retopo and unwrapping, but after that I move onto texturing and other cool stuff.

JRGauthier - wow thanks so much for the nice comments, cool that you think I am hitting more of that b movie sensibility.

hichamdi - thanks a lot for the encouragement, I am trying to nail everything down so I can finish in time!

gpepper - Yeah he will be slightly smaller than the blue guy… Also in that screen shot he was a bit too sharp… I will tone that down so he will look proper… Thanks

RageOfAges - thanks a lot Glad you like them man…

PELENG - thanks a lot

OZ - thank you very much… Glad you like the style

ravioli_rancher - thanks… I was trying to get that feeling of weight in the big guy… hopefuly I captured some of that… thanks a lot.

Here are the 2 guys… unwrapped with a quick diffuse and normal map… Also some quick lights in maya to start to preview the scene. From now I will shift between texturing and modeling stuff for the background.

#52

excellent design , modeling and movment in this characters. really promising.

#53

I think what would really sell this image is the cute and cuddliness of the monsters. I like the sculpts but i think you need to push it to be even more cartoony and cute. Bigger eyes, Big heads, small feet, more absurd and awkward. Just a thought.

#54

nice modeling for the characters good luck

#55

I love these characters! Looking great!
