Here is my rough concept for the carnivorous funny looking creatures attacking earth. The costume for the big guy is going to change a bit I have not finalized the idea yet.
The idea for the setting is basically both of them walking down a highway causing chaos and destruction. I want to show the scale of them vs a highway and tiny cars. I want to go for a cartoon or a stylized 3d look.
Once I have more updates on the costume and the image I will upload them.

Right now they look like game-characters designs, but this impression might change when you put them on the highway and add more “action”. :slight_smile:

not saying its bad. just mentioning ^^

LadyMedusa - I totally agree they do have a video gamish influence to them. I want to steer it more into giants monsters attacking earth theme thru posing, lighting and with the overall concept of the image. thanks for the comment!

csmallfield - thanks a lot…yeah they do seem smaller than they will actually be. When i have the backgroung in place hopefully the scale will make more sense.

This is the direction I want to take the image in. I also changed the costume for the blue guy a bit, it will probably stay like this maybe with a few tweaks. Also the pose for the yellow guy will be slightly different.

It’s like Doc Oc and Green Goblin! As much as I love this image, and these characters (which is a lot), I don’t really see the connection to a B-Movie. It looks like a cool animated movie or bad ass video game to me.

Agree with csmallfiel, it does look more like current CG animated movie… maybe because the sci fi costume looks too modern and the creature too cute. A lot of B movie creatures look like people wearing costume or simply creepy/disgusting, while the sci fi element is low budget, tin can or tin foil looking.
Maybe if you make them distinctively fake/man made?
Just my opinion ^^

csmallfield - wow thanks a lot for the nice comment man. Yeah totally inspired by those dudes, i was picturing them in those earlier 50’s comics you know pretty cheesy stuff tipical of b movies, that was what I was thinking. I might have to change the look of his accesories to make it less futuristic… more old looking tech stuff

Pegahoul - great sugesstions thanks a lot, you are totally on point, you have given me a great idea,
I will change the tech stuff to be more old looking not so new, i will get rid of the glowing stuff wich actually kind of makes it look too high tech as well. My plan is to make them fell handmade, more like made out of clay or “fake looking” but I will try and nail those down. I will probably keep the characters and the image and just modify it so it fits a more in that direction.

The sculpting is very cool. Did you sculpt in T-Pose or posed then sculpt? Very nice.

Yongkiat - hey man thanks. I actually did the posing then the sculpting. First time doing that, I usually prefer to do T pose and then sculpt because of symmetry brushes, but for this contest I wanted to try something new. I will post the zpshere skeleton of the guy
