Good luck !

Octavio - Thanks for your comment. I can’t resist the temptation to make an image based on “Luchadores” films and inspired in “El Santo” and Blue Demon of course

Michael
- Thanks for your comment and suggestions. You are totally right about the light and the lack of depth on the image … my fault :banghead:  I´m taking note on your points. Thanks again for the comment

Nikola - Thanks for your words. Glad that you liked the concept and the characters. You are right. I can’t go with all the characters for the concept. I’m giving a try to the “ajolote mutante” for the next composition

Yan - Thanks for stop by my thread and really thanks for the link!!

#83

Another composition sketch with the ‘Ajolote Mutante’ on the stage

I’m not satisfied with this composition ( my classic composition… hahahaha enough!!) but have really great fun painting this scene.

#84

Hi Fernando - Great action! I was wondering what happened to ‘Ajolote Mutante’, in the old movies would it be a guy in a suite? Hope you can somehow include the operation on the guy’s brain and the nice lady.

#85

hey man, youre getting some nice results here, i like this last scene showing both characters fighting, but i want to see the luchador winning, right now he is getting buttkicked…lol :bounce: , very cool thread mate :arteest:

#86

Great composition sketches, yeah the Black and White mask works really well on the wrestler, I like the dynamic action feel to the latest sketch!! Cool stuff man!

#87

Good stuff here, Ferx  But can you PLEASE make a decision!?

#88

Great work Fernando! It´s cool how a bit of the story is told, the genius evil guy commanding the powerful monster in his secret headquarters, to fight the hero who tries to stop his plans. I like the good old Hero vs Evil Superiority theme, this is real popcorn cinema stuff.

As your composition is very clean, you could even try to make the doctor hold the hero´s girl, screaming to be saved… just an idea to add some more drama

#89

‘Ajolote Mutante’ RULEZ!!! :buttrock:
I like that you now have Action scene

The composition is interesting but I think if the ‘camera’ was at a lower level it would make both the lizard/axolotl and the Luchador look more dominant.

Also I think the Luchador could have some more interest in his pose, at the moment he’s still quite ‘upright’, if you rotated him 90 degrees (in perspective) I think it would give the throw more force.

Great work so far, keep it up!

#91

Last sketch looks really cool.
I am only missing the squid arm guy. May be you should clone the wrestler so he can stand back to back with himself fighting all your cool villains. :scream:

Cheers

looking good Fer!
I think that the machine you had in the previous one, with all the lights and buttons, is a must, it screamed B-movie! perhaps you could try a similar composition to this one but with more evil characters behind the ajolote, also, dr muerte looks small in that one, due to perspective…
…difficult choice I know, haha, I wouldnt want to be in your place, with so many chars and ideas to put in just one good looking image!

#93

Hi, great concept  , I like mexican luchadores and the whole paraphernalia around them. Good luck.
Saludos!!

#94

Why don’t you have a dog Pile Scene with what ever wrestler you want on top

Just a suggestion

Looking for more Progress.

#95

Wow! Your designs and concepts are sweet!

As for my two cents: I think the wrestler would benefit from a more dynamic pose. Maybe have him flying face first and push that C curve (as well as perspective maybe) And maybe the mutant’s arm flying past him, barely missing his bulbous-y flesh.

Ralph – Thanks my friend. Ajolote Mutante in his before form was a taxi driver in Mexico City, not much change after the Dr. Muerte´s experiment.

Jorge – Thanks mate, Glad that you liked the image. You are right, but the winning action is in the en of the movie :D Thanks for your support my friend.

Paperboy – Thanks for your words and encouragement. Yes I’m going for the black and white mask, you are right :)

Martin – Thanks ol’ friend :D You know me, 5 or 6 more sketches and I’m ready with my final concept

hahahha

Semih - Thanks mate. Really glad that you liked the composition, and good suggestion, you are right; I need the girl in distress for more drama. :D

Alex – Thanks for your comment. Cool suggestions, you are totally right, taking note on your points. Thanks again for the support :)

Torsten - Thanks my friend. Cool Idea, or maybe two wrestlers (the old Mexican “luchadores films” had a famous couple of wrestlers, “Santo” and “Blue Demon”)

Fernando – Thanks tocayo. Yes, still can not find the correct composition to use several characters

. Hope to find soon the answer (I need more tequila :D) Thanks for your encouragement and support. Cheers!!

Arturo – Thanks mate, glad that you liked the whole idea. What more Mexican B-Movie than “El Santo” movies? :D

A new composition, now with a mix between Dr. Muerte and Squid-Arm, on a Mayan style scenario and a lot of little ajolote mutant carnivore and tequila drinker creatures.

I’m try a bit more cartoon style in this image…

Only left 25 days … and I still trying to find the composition … hahahaha

#98

Freaking. Awesome.

#99

Now that’s just perfect. :bounce:

Very B-movie like.

Go with it!

May be move the lady a bit so the squid-arm is more visible.

Cheers Torsten
