Playin’ with lights, textures and what not… Trying to keep her clean, and not over detail her… it’s hard not to just pile on the layers of texure.

I LOVE gettin’ the chance to work on my own character. This challenge thing ROCKS!

So I took a shot at a quick rig. Still need to paint weights more accurately, but I’m getting to add some life to the little lady.

I 'm quickly realizing this isn’t a Character design contest. So I’m finally working on the image that will tell a story, and feel like a B_Movie. In my mind I’ve always seen this as a short, so I may have to continue on to the movie bit as well.

I started laying out the image of the final poster. Still needs a lot of work, in very little time, but I think I can get there. I’m liking it, but it needs to be more dynamic… It’s not very scary either, but I’m not sure how scary I want to go…

It’s all pretty temp still, especially the bottom three images.

I’m accepting suggestions, if anyone wants to chime in I would appreciate it.

So I worked on some of the poses, and lighting, and some color tweaks. Still not all the way there yet. Needs Subsurface on fins, and caustics, may even tweak poses again depending on time.

Thanks again CG talk… This challenge has been a blast so far.

Magicbrushly… There’s only supposed to be one monster, and her pet rat in the divers helmet. Kind of a baby after the gold fish bowl. Nothing to scary… or deep for that matter.

But thanks, I’ll try and clarify the story if I can find time to tweak it.
