This is looking amazing
If you’ll manage to finish it? are you kidding. Fix the babe and maybe also the shifty shadows and you could technically call it done :o
I kinda like the somewhat “sloppy” impressionistic look it has now

Wondafoo!! YOU ARE MY HERO MAN! :buttrock:
Fantastic palette…twisted character…and great composition! Ya’rock!
wow, looks great, I really like the composition of the piece and the clown is looking really evil
Waiting to see the background develop. :buttrock:
Thats an excellent painting, and you can never go too far wrong with an undead elephant!
Only crit I’ve got is that the skull juggling ball that is just next to the jugglers hand doesn’t read that well - it looks a bit like another monster sticking its head out from behind the juggler instead.
something was bothering me and cardigan just made me realize it—he’s right…the skull doesn’t read correctly. I think it is because that clown has a very detailed face with a very blurry shoulder, a blurry hand closer to the camera with a detailed skull…it’s exactly the opposite of what it should be! Either the face, shoulder, skull, and hand have to be in focus…or the hand/skull is blurry and the shoulder/face is sharp. That should fix the issue cardigan brings up!
I still love this piece. Rock it out.
can’t get enough of this pic. Characters look awesome and the quality is unbelievavle ^^
I Like the first version, when the zombie clow dont look to the camera.

the paint is very fine.
Hey amazing image! checked out your portfolio and you have amazing work all around.
I’m confused about the hand below the skull though, is it just a floating hand? looks like it’s attached to the two headed monster but at the same time it doesnt.
madbot: I am sure honored to hear that! Sometimes its hard to see how much is enough and when there is too much going on… so Im really glad to have u guys who direct me when Im stuck
thnx!
andrewpyott: thank you! Im really happy to hear that characters are driving u into the image! I hope I’ll manage to keep that up
RageOfAges: thank you for the support! I also hope I’ll be able to finish this piece, since the projects are constantly droping in… but that is a good thing as well
davinci247: thnx! So glad to hear that!
FranciscoAlvarezDelgado: thank you!
LadyMedusa: hehehe… Maybe I am a bit too hard on myself, but thats keep me going
I’ll do my best to finish it, not like I “did” the previous couple of challenges… I wont overdo it (hopefully), there will still be visible some sloppy brush strokes and textures. But I think there is so much room for improvement and detailing on some places, that I just couldnt call it done and be happy with it
Thnx!
OZ: thank you so much! It means really a lot to me!
iskanderMellakh: thank you! I’ll do my best!
cardigan: hehe… elephant stays!
I agree about the skull u r meantioning. I already did something about it, but havent upload the progress yet. The skulls will be “burning” so it will be clearly seen that the three of them are together, as well as a ghost effect of the flame will indicate the direction of movement. Thnx for the constructive criticism!
harmless: thank you so much for taking the time to comment! As I replied to cardigan, I too was feeling that something is not right with thee skull hanging in the middle of air. So I did some changes that will be submited very soon. Hope that will solve the problem
Also hands and many other things will get sharper during the painting process. Right now this is just around 40-50% done image, so many elements r still in the sketchy phase. Thank you once again!
Pegahoul: thank you so much! I hope I’ll be able to keep ur interest
raultabajara: thank u for stopping by
I thought that something is needed to jump into the viewers face, so thats why is change the clown… hope u’ll like it when I finish it
gentlykind: Thank you for pointing that out! The hand will be more clearly attached to the siamtwins sisters. At the moment its just a sketchy phase where it shows its position on the image.
I think I have a near final composition and all the elements now… From here on, there is a detailing process, that I just cant wait to start with
Some minor changes still might come, but nothing major.
I added a curtain of the circus tent (thnx to my buddy Tomaz), so the freak army is sort of coming out. Also, the elephant is now put more into the shadow, which makes him even scarier in my humble opinion, not knowing its whole size and appearance. There r also some bats coming out and a girl in the elephants trunk is now sculpted… maybe a scream on her face?
Love it, gonna be following this one. Needs more gore though, some blood splatters on the curtains, elephant’s trunk and something dripping out of where the twins got stabbed. Ooh a dangling eyeball would be great too!
kojala: thank you!
aimanimation: awesome suggestion! how could I forgot about gore… Im a sucker for gore movies, and somehow I forgot about that… no excuse… me is going to do a seppuku now
thnx buddy!
This is looking really good. I was afraid it was looking a little flat before, by looking at the thumbnail, but you definitely fixed this on the latest images. Can’t wait to see it detailed!

Yea i agree, it was looking flat, you seemed to have placed a little bit of life back into the image which is good to see. The curtains work a treat for the composition, I love the little touch of light being cast onto the elephant.
Great Progress
Marley
Love it! The composition and perspective are all working really well and it turns the whole whimsical circus thing on its ear. It’s whimsical, but in a creepy macabre way. Keep at it!
Very cool. I also checked out your blog. Nice work! The cd with images for each track is amazing.
Oh man this is getting incredible. Totally love the addition of the curtains. The only thing I’m not keen on in this update is the color of the “energy” around the globes. I think a dark smokey color would look much better as it would set a contrast, perhaps with a slight purple hue.
Anyway, awesome update, and if this isn’t my favorite thread it’s really close.

This is insanely good. He’s juggling skulls with some sort of kinetic energy…I love it!
