awesome !
this is gonna be 1 of the best
B-Movie Entry: Blaz Porenta
love this !! awesome composition, its already got a creepy carnival kind of feeling . . . brilliant.
Beautiful, I love the color choices and the layout is wonderful. I’ll keep checking in!
I like it, very dynamic composition and contrasts.
Right now it’s a bit hard to distinguish what’s what, but I’m sure you got it all figured out already. Judging by your portfolio, I’m sure it’s gonna be more than awesome. If there would be one thing, it almost feel to cool and sophisticated for a B-movie… even thought the theme nails it.
Great start! I hope you complete this piece.
At first I thought the skull in the foreground was magically hovering then I was let down a little when I saw that he was simply juggling…maybe something to think about there.
It would be great if the elephant could have something supernatural/undead about him as well—he would fit in a lot better that way. Maybe the strongman could be holding up one of those classic dumbells rather than just having the strongman animal print outfit and maybe one those those zombies in the front could be riding a tricycle…those always seem creepy! That would tie them all together a bit more…
Nice work, looking forward to what you do with it!
Love the feel of perspective you managed to work in early on. Inspired me to have a rethink.
Thank you for all ur great responses!
NJA3d: thnx man! Im glad u like it!
MVDB: I’m dropping into ur thread really often… u have such a funny concept
and thnx!
ShogunWarrior: hahaha… take it easy
but I’m glad u like it!
JRGauthier: All my early sketches are messy
I got used to work that way, since I dont have so much free time. So when an idea pops into my head, I try to put it down as quick as possible, including colors. And I also love working the way where I can upgrade characters along with the painting process, not knowing from the start what would they look like. That way I think I can always change my image for the better, redesigning it if I think its necessary. I also see what u mean with looking too “cool”. I’ll try to make these creatures a bit cheesy, like those from Evil Dead and Brain Dead movies
thnx a lot for stoping by!
harmless: I hope I’ll find the time to finish this piece as well
fingers crossed! I see what u mean with the hovering skull, but I’ll try to stick with the story of undead circus… Hovering skulls would portray a different background of these creatures, although it would be cool, I agree
The elephant will sure look dead… Im thinking of skinning it, so only meat and blood will be on the bones… or making it zombie like, dried, disintegrated or rotten. And instead of a tricycle I have also plans for a monocycle rider
thnx for all the suggestions and for stopping by!
