automatic screen shot

hello everyone,

i am rendering some images for my thesis and i have to do some screenshots of the development of the image beeing rendered. anyone know any kind of program or something that help me doing these screenshots automatically wihtout beeing arround the computer. it would help a lot as i cannot wake up at 2 am in the morning, press the buttons and save the screenshot as a png.

First tinoxps, I think you posted this in a completly wrong part of the forums. This part of the forum is WIP/Critique 3D Stills, not help for taking screenshots :slight_smile:
But to answer your question, what you want to do might work if you build yourself some kind of script (don’t know what software you use)? that saves each rendered frame as a screenshot. Other than that, is hard to tell due I don’t know what software you are using, rendering engine and so on.

ups sorry, i though wip was right, as it was suposed to be done while the render is working :stuck_out_tongue:

well im actually using a lot of renderers, im using Lux, Mitsuba and Cycles on blender and Octane, Vray, Iray and Maxwell on Maya

There’s a program called IfranView (its free) and you can use it to automatically take screenshots and save them.
