What exaclty does autosmooth do? and what does hard edges mean? when i selected my model and hit autosmooth it left some of my edges green. I looked in preferences and green means hard edges. I dont know what that means? Thanks for your help.
auto-smooth, and hard edges.

i click autosmooth and once the lines are green, i click “smooth” this smoothes out the model differently–im not sure what exactly it does to the model, but it comes in handy.
