Attach Geo to BVH Motion?

#1

The load BVH animation looks really cool, but the mesh i attached is not fitting the bones well.
I can get the mesh attached to the Bones, but at frame 1 the Mesh is squished in by the bones. The Mesh is not “Skined” to the bones very well.
Is the next step Some kind of weight map?

I guess what i’m asking is: Once the Mesh is attached, how to better FIT the geometry to the animation. I am Using the Joecosman way of adding bones. Two bones for the bicep, two bones for the thigh, ect. I was taking the original BVH bone and Slpitting, and renaming it.

Tutorials or links welcome.!

If I understand you correctly the problem is that the bones in setup are messed up?

Maybe you could copy the frame0 pose from animate to setup using the “motlib current to setup” script
This may mess up your mocap though as it’ll change the keys so you may have to do something else clever
