A small problem here, I’m trying to export a simple character animation of a model with an alembic node as an Arnold standin so I get to multiply it several times in another scene. I selected .ass as the extension and activated the sequence option with the frame range. The sequence is exported but the information is the same as the first frame through the whole sequence. When I create the standin I use the ‘#’ to get the sequence, and use a expression in the ‘frame’ attribute. I believe the import is not the issue, but the export. When I’m exporting the animation sequence I can see in the viewport that the geometry is not deforming, and is I load a single frame not as a sequence the model doesn’t have the desired deformation too.
Or is there any other way to export geometry with animation to use as a proxy with arnold?
I’m using maya 2017 and arnold 4. Thanks.
