I have a scene I am rendering professionally, and need some advice. Its taking an awful long time to render. and I know adding more AA and diffuse to the render settings really cranks up the render times as well as the quality… but I need it to be as HQ as possible with no grain.
I did an AOV test… to see what was giving me grain… and of course its the indirect diffuse… so you raise the diffuse setting right? I cant do that anymore… a 1200 frame render itll take a farm 2 or 3 days. One frame on my machine is about an hour.
Please give me advice on what to do, I need to keep the quality, but lose the render time
Are the fake “mesh lights” the ones killing me? the only way I got lesser render times, after deleting lights and re-rendering… was to lower the settings
I DONT need AOVs in this one
It is an indoor shot, I am using around 10 area lights and a Skydome. Each light is set to Samples 3
The Area lights are portraying overhead ceiling lights
I also have 8 or 9 fake “mesh lights” (around the top)
