it’s a G.I. finalRender Stage-1 with SP2B.
I’ve lots of lighting types: concealed tubes (self-illuminating objects), downlights running along the walls with IES photometry (that gives that subtle but real lighting stamp pattern on the walls, curtains), downlights in the center of the room with a different IES (wider angle, softer diffusion), daylighting (target area lights) plus a dozen or so ‘fill-in’ attenuated omnis in places where GI couldn’t properly resolve shadows.
Fill-in a.omnis are also great for making highlights, sweetening colours, creating subtle shadows and making focal points in interesting areas.
It took 9 hours to render these babies on a 10-CPU Athlon MP 2800+ render farm (Distributed render) with 4GB on each station at 2400 X 2100
