Finally here we go, the new guidelines for the April challenge
Texturing/Lighting/Rendering
This time we focus on 3 aspects of 3D that play a tight role together. The guidelines are to use your previous model or uncolored sketch from the Gods/Demons challenge last month. If you DID NOT participate last month, no worries you can use one of your own models/concept art to texture, it can be a recent model/concept art or if you’re not a modeler/artist you can use one of the models/concept art we have at our disposal, or you can find your own, either way just have something to texture/light/render
Remember that this is a WIP challenge, so it is a requirement to show the steps you used, maps e.t.c , e.t.c and help out as much as you can, of course you’re not obligated to, but it will help those that need it greatly.
There are however some restrictions to prevent unnecessary issues:
[ul]
[li]Images with a direct outside linking should NOT exceed the size of either 800x600 or 600x800 . . . If you want to show a larger formatted picture, do so using a link to the image . . . we have to keep in mind that there are still people with small monitors and slow connections.
[/li][li]Rendering is a part of this challenge, so please try to do something different besides the cliche blue GI render
[/li][/ul]
This challenge is open for Characters, Vehicles and Environments.
The challenge focus this time around is Texturing Lighting and Rendering
if you choose to texture a character/vehicle only texture a character/vehicle, do not add an environment unless you state otherwise in your title heading, this makes it easier to categorize.
The Challenge starts April 15th and will run till May 15th Midnight EST
Also please note voting will be changed up, because we’re noticing the more popular peeps keeps on winning. Stay tuned for more on that.
Good luck to you all and enjoy yourselves . . .
