April 2015 - Anna Sorgon

Hi, I’m Anna this is my first wip and first challenge  This is a concept I though of a modern city between green and modern skyscrapers.
Green is the main subject. It is a contemporary issue concerning green design and buildings integration.

Hi, I’m still in progress. I nearly have all the buildings in the back and mid-ground complete. I still have to relight, colour correct and desaturate most of them. Miss final shadows and lights to add.

Hey Anna,

I really like the moss / grass in between the tiles on the roof! I think you should watch out for scale issues. I see some trees and a swimming pool near some windows, but the windows are almost as big as the trees. Same thing with the bricks on the fg hedges and the bricks on the fg chimney. Keep working! It looks really promising.

Thanks Bo. really helpful. Yes, I’m still locating all the images for a overview. I really appreciate your comment and help

I really like your work and the atmosphere you gave! really good job

Try to find more photos that match the lighting setup as it’ll be hard to paint these harshly lit buildings in it’s current state in a more photo realistic manner. Or if you can light it in 3D, that would be good too.

Thanks David for your suggestions

Hi guys… still in progress… miss to blur some buildings, some little atmospheric details… some plants in the foreground… and the dawn effect of a city that wakes up

Hi guys  These should be my last 2 wips

Care about your values, even if somes of the background buildings are in the shadow, they might be gobally less dark ! overall, i like the grass you’ve putted in !
