(I’m trying out”Lightwave 3D”)
Is there a tool like “append to polygon”?
(> To add -and merge at the same time- a new polygon to the one you just created [-> all this by drawing the polygons with the pen])
Or is there a decent workaround?
Thanks.

not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but could you:
use ‘extender plus’ and then just ‘merge polys’ to combine them?
Something like this?

Append Polygon Tool in Maya is a tool to “fill” in holes. Like you have a quad hole and you want to fill in that hole with a poly quad.
There is such a tool in Lightwave, I can’t remember the hot key though.
Maybe someone else can help you.
Depending what type of hole we’re taking about here…
You can select the two edges across and ‘bridge’
just as lino said, select the four points and hit p. make sure to select them in order though
Thanks for your replies;
“TrueArt Support” > How did you do that? (Which tools did you use?)
“Append to polygon” is indeed a “Maya”-tool [In “XSI” it is called “Create Polygon - Add polygon” (it has a double function)]
> It is used to ADD polygons to an existing one by clicking on an edge of that poly and continuing by clicking two points to create and append another poly to it.
(You CAN use it to fill holes sometimes, but mostly you use the “Fill Hole”-tool for that.)
What a want to do is a certain type of modeling (one which a like): You first draw a network of curves that defines the flow of the shape.
Than you snap polygons between the curves: You create (draw) one polygon, and append all the others to it (always keeping the snap-to-curve function on).

Thanks!
It was EasyMesh http://easymesh.trueart.pl…

Sounds like EasyMesh is quicker than that… Just press right mouse button on edge with ctrl key hold… Two additional open edges will be found automatically…
