anyone know if there is a camera map/render calculator for maya?

I found this really helpful script from 3dsmax, that helps you calculate the settings for camera and output size changes and need to have a pixel for pixel match.

Is it so useful for doing camera projection scene!

Anyone knows where I can find a maya script like that or a standalone program that can do this trick?

thanks

I try to elaborate further, might help to get some replies

Basically I need to focal length calculator in maya for my camera projection scene.

I am sure if anyone has done 3d camera mapping, when they realize the original painting cannot provide nothing coverage for the camera move, they will have to expand out the painting. The thing is when you expand out, the focal length (mm) will change, because practically you have pushed the objects further away. Using the original camera mapping’s focal length will shrunk down the new painting.

So anyone here has the knowledge of calculating focal length difference in maya?
I can adjust it by eye, but its very difficult to get a pixel to pixel match.

I’m not entirely certain I understand the question, and I admit that I’m a rank amateur with Maya, but is the information in the Camera Attribute Editor insufficient? Focal length, film gate, and angle of view are all there.

No, theoretically it has nothing to do with maya. It has to do with camera focus length. This is a mathematical problem, not really a software one.

there is a script written for 3dsmax, but I can’t find one that is for maya

correct me if i’m wrong here, but isn’t it in the film back attributes of the maya camera where there exists an attribute called prescale? if you change that from it’s default value of 1 to say .75 then you can get some overscan rendered into your image without changing your focal length.

edit: never mind. I think I’ve misunderstood again…
