Any Way To Set A Default Preference View in Windows 10?

Hi,

I would like to be able to set my file view preferences for one folder and make them global for the rest of the existing folders in the computer, as well as future ones. For example, I want the default view for all my folders to be Details, By Date Modified. Right now I have to manually change every new folder I create, as well as any existing one since they keep defaulting to Big Icons by Name.
The Mac had a Use As Default feature where basically I would set one folder and it would make those preferences the default system-wide.

Any way this can be done in Windows 10?

Set the settings how you like for the folder you are in. Then go to View > Options > (Folder Options window will open) > View > Apply to all folders.

Just be aware this will override all the view settings, pictures folders will now all appear as this type if this wasnt what you intended etc.

You may also miss colored folders from Mac. This free software allows you to do that if you are interested.

Go to View- options than folder options will open Than change whatever you want and than apply
