Wow, very very nice work jjcoolio. What sets these models apart from so many others (regardless of the fact that such detail is present in purely NURBS mesh form) is the likeness and more importantly the life that the models seem to have. No textures at all and still there’s something ‘alive’ about them. Thanks for posting these. I’m amazed at your modeling skills and attention to detail & personality.

Good job! Although I prefer the male models. Especially Hoffman’s. Its a tough thing to get a likeness and you got it

Amazing work man! Your modeling skills are incredible. I really hope you are starting to use Zbrush, because you will end LOVING it day and night.

Sick modelling, well earned frontpage… The cheek detail on Hoffman and Hackman is brilliant, and Hepburn is as sweet as she ever was. As to the Swede (whatshisnameagain?), I remember him as a bit more of a stern personality. A few wrinkles in the eye and a more focused look, I think would bring the personality in better. Maybe tilt the skull forward a few degrees so he looks up under his eyebrows. Just remember he’s a rough character.
DOLPH LUNDGREN!!! Thats his name! Went to check it on the net, his homepage is at http://www.dolphlundgren.com/ ,and he’s much rougher and thinskinned. Hope that helped.

I’m sorry the images were down. I just got up a few mins ago…
jk_ksu: I used only photo references. The hard part was to collect all audreys photos. I used a nurbs plane and mapped the side and front of photo in the early stage. After the model was getting better I took of the image planes and tried to just compare witht the photos and the render. To be honest Audrey was one of the hardest model in my entire cg life. her porportions of her face is totally different from other women and I really wanted to give up many times…

Amazing work, truly an amazing likeness and expression. Probably the single best example of character modelling I’ve seen so far. This is the first time I’ve seen a WIP plugged on the front page, but if there should be any WIP plugged it should definitely be this one.

Actually I arleady saw your stuff couple of weeeks ago, and I thought it’s great.
and today I realized your model was on the top page of this site.
It is excellent job, and I’m so proud of you. Just can’t tell which one is best, but I really like woman character. It expresses real human quality. Since I’m making young woman. The model and lighting is so helping me to correct my stuff.
