Oh I’m sorry:) I’ll fix that
many appologies ekah:)
another female celebriity head attempt
Great models!
Do you do traditional sculpture???
Congratulations really !! 5 star quality work! ![]()
Hey, no problem. Keep up the good work.
To those questioning the method used:
I don’t like fanboyism any more than most people. However, even if they were carved out of voxels, I’d say these are great looking models. I don’t use Maya nor Clay Tools, but it’s perfectly possible to achieve the kind of details with CV vertices and their weights using NURBS. Jinwoo mentioned that he rarely pulls/pushes cv’s and that he uses Artisan brushes. I don’t know how that works in Maya, but in 3DSMax, you have to convert NURBS to a poly object before you can paint deformation (similar to Maya’s Artisan brushes).
In either case, unless someone posted a 3D scan and claimed that they were modeled in NURBS, which in this case would have been difficult to do because of the access to these famous celebrities, I’d give the guy some credit.
you’r good man… really good…
i’d put you in “Best modelers i’ve seen yet” list in my head…
Blizzard didn’t call for you yet ?

Djampa: thanks for the compliments. I did take the ecorche I, II class which was very intensive. I really loved that class. - Steve perkins class is one of the best.
I also took some painting, drawing and sculpting classes too.
ekah: thank you for the kind words:)
darkarcher: I didn’t even made a reel yet. I’m planning to make one soon though. thanks for the interest. I hope I could get a decent job
okay, for those folks who are enjoying this thread. Here’s some more work I’m doing.

The original design was done by a sculptor I don’t really know. I heard that he is very big though. please tell me his name if someone knows him. I changed the pose a bit for the right arm. I bought the small sculpture over the net and modeled it in maya. its not 100 percent finished so there might be some cracks here and there before I close em patches:)
100 % nurbs patches except the stones and the grass, and the wings.
the rock base is not smoothed yet so its a bit edgy.
C&C very welcome
:surprised …
 WOW!
I would love to see some closeups on that model. More angles?
How long did this take you?
Do you always start from scratch or do you reuse body parts? Sorry if it’s been asked before.
You’re truly very talented:bowdown:

nardes thank you so much. I will be strickly honest with you. I used some of the body parts I made for faster modeling. I really don’t have anything to hide. I think it took a month(it might took longer because of the pose)to make it but I’m always do a couple of models so I don’t exactly know the time frame. just keep on fixing the parts I’m not satisfied.
well if you didn’t do it in clawytools… then you should get your hands on it!
however, as i said, well done (no matter if it is claytools or nurbs or whatever)
the way some areas looks just remembered me of claytools…
so keep upo the great work, i’d love to see one of you pieces finished tho
Neox: Thanks Neox, but I still prefer nurbs. I hope I could get a good hand at zbrush though.
okay heres a close up. and another astronaught I’m doing. the suit might look wierd though.
I am very curious… do these look like they have been worked in clay tools?(no offense, just really curious) and sorry for the giant image post… couldn’t change the size.
There might be some cracks since the patches are all not attached yet. all WIP
C&C very welcome.

OMG FANBOY ALERT.
WOW

vbmenu_register(“postmenu_3198122”, true); used: I’m glad you like em.
Stripe: I hope my instructors like my models and myself. I have learned so much:)
OKay heres one I’m still working on. the dress was a real challenge for me.
i personally thank Seryong Kim and Sunny Wei, Tareq Mirza for giving me a lot of advice on this one!
This one is my avatar
I hope it would be ready to show you the front
Well I’d have to say I could only do this in nurbs…for now(b4 I learn zbrush)
c&c very welcome!!

The shoulder blades look slightly strange, a little too sharp.
The dress is suberbly well modeled.
A question , are these modeled for something? stature,. art or movies? I know they are practice but do you have a selected purpose in mind?
The waist area looks very well structured, this kind of thing is so much harder in zbrush or polys where you just cant terminate the detail area into nothing as you have. The collection of edges produces really bad results, and without a very long time tweaking and superb knowledge of ending these in quads along a minute surface - very hard. The same limitations willl apply in zbrush.
I’m not sure but I imagine that chain slightly dragging the dress a little more downward, and the dress being that wid and not held by a hoop, I can’t see it falling that way. Nevertheless fantastic modeling work with a great feel to the volume. Cool hair feathers.
Hope this helps somewhat.
Stripe
yes very inspiring:), the detail and accuracy is astounding. You have a very very very bright future ahead , see you in the market;)

Stripe : thank you for the crits I’ll check it out. I thinks becase of the camera direction though, many thanks for the advice of the dress!
jdsb: many thanks I hope I could get the job I really want. I also wish the best to you, my friend.
Thank you so much, okay heres one thats finished I think.
All nurbs patches except the small pillars in the side of the chair.

This one was extremly tough because the cloth which is covering his arms and his laps are just one single patch. I had to bent a single nurbs patch and bend it like a real cloth which was a really really big challenge for me. I hope you like it …it was a hard one.
I even wanted to give up during the process because of the folds which were hard to make.
holy shit man! have you just never posted these before? you have so many amazing models lying around waiting to be shown!

Thank jinwoo, it was very considerate of you to modify your last post and reply to me:), something tells me you will make it big , all the best, just keep going with that passion. That last model is absolutely stunning by the way.:) . I will try to learn patches and return with some models for you to critique.
okay this ones a old one. 2 years ago I made this and presented this n the AAU springshow.
