akin: Thanks for the compliments
Antropus: Thank you so much
I saw your work here at cgtalk. very very inspiring work.
doodlyD: WOW, thanks very interesting:) Actually I picked it up how to do the eye browse froma guy who won the AAC springshow. Great nurbs job he did.(Our school is full of nurbs lovers) the image bellow wasn’t fully tessllated which made those edgy looks:)

well, I’ll have to edit this post to make it very clear…
This is the way I do eye browse. same with gene. simply making a patch formed in to a eye browse(slightly interesected) then add enormous amount of iso parms(I use the double mel script) and then sculpt the way how the eye browse grows. note that this head is not smoothed, if I mesh smooth it it would get slightly smaller so the intersection areas would be more smaller. It doesn’t look natural but hey, It’s a bit more detailed. If you look at my view port or render you would know thats its not one piece of geometry.
(You must understand because this trick is really not known to many nurbs modelers.
I guess you never seen this type which is really rare.(maybe thats why it might cause the confusion) But some students in my school use this kind of technique,
and for the pics for dustin… use any of those heads and lower the tesslation options and render it out. you would see the same edgy result. These happen because when you attach and detach nurbs patches the tesslation values automatically gos very low. and if you render them, it would look edgy. I guess I didn’t change the tesslation value b4 I rendered for dustin. Please test any head you have in nurbs and look for your self my friend.
If any one modeled a nrbs head they would absolutely know. please ask a friend who patches heads in nurbs and ask them.
if you want some tests using my head then please say so. I would be glad to show you the result…
I hope this answers you questions…
monica.ta: Thank you.
A_K: Hmm. I’ve seen a lot of your work at levi’s forum… I’m sad that you will be disappointed but they are made up in 100% NURBS ^______^ (well…except dolph)
If you live in San francisco then I would love to show you my models and the proccess.
and about clay tools…Hmm. I don’t even know what is clay tools. Oh, I saw it once at a 3d magazine of zack pedrocs article once, a month ago. Interesting
and even if I made em in such tool (which I don’t even know?) would there be any difference?
Modeling is just modeling. It doesn’t mean anything…3d applications are just a tool
don’t you think so?
If claytools is that good then I would love to learn though. But I’d prefer doing patches. Don’t want to throw out my 3 years work on it
I think zbrush might be a better tool thats why I am having a hard time learning zbrush
I hope Mr zack could look on my works to confirm. I could even send some data if he wanted to look closer. Nurbs is very very light in data
gene is only a few megas
But I thank you A.K for the interest in my models. take care and see you around.
antropus: Thnx for visiting my thread and dropping a line. I really am inspired by you marvalous work. I hope one day I could zbrush em polys like the way u do.
Cr@sH: Thank you
stripe: I think I use an arrange of 60 upto 80 for a focal length
akin: thank you so much
